00:11:55 Joy Gilfilen: Is Bellingham, WA any chance yet on your list of targeted cities? We are a town of about 200,000 in the middle of I-5 between Seattle and Vancouver, BC right in the vortex between 8 million people where we have 13 international border crossings here. We are moving mountains and have reached a critical tipping point. Your training platform is absolutely perfect for this city to transform itself.

00:14:35 Lorenzo - TRANSISCOPE.ORG: > what can be generalized in an open urban planning approach, starting from the concrete experience of a Swiss village where participation has gone beyond the initial (and legal) framework.
>
> The particularity of the approach is to rely on a free civic technology in perpetual development, the digital tool Unlimited Cities, which allows collective visual intelligence. This tool is integrated into participatory urban planning processes and is generally used in public spaces for a few weeks, with mediators to meet the inhabitants and users of a territory. The results allow for transformations based on common intentions and contribution dynamics inspired by the free software philosophy.
>
> The hypothesis of the 7 billion planners network is that in order to succeed in the ecological transition of territories, the ability to reflect and co-imagine solutions must be open to civil society in order to allow the co-construction of behavioral changes with political authorities and experts. Hence the n

00:16:18 Paloma Pavel: Thanks Lorenzo how can we reach YOU to follow up ?

00:18:46 Paloma Pavel: David please call us 5104697777 to follow up . I keep raising hand and system is lowering it .
00:19:16 Shannon McArthur: Thanks for letting me know, Paloma. I will invite you to speak.
00:19:31 Joy Gilfilen: Ironically, the community was on the leadership tipping point of the spear back in 2010...and then we got shut down by the jail industry business plan that planned to replace our economy with a prison/immigration economy here at the border. Bellingham has been home to the BALLE - Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (now moved to Portland) and Sustainable Connections and the organization ReSources that has been standing for local living economies and Net Zero movement. I will add links to these organizations next - for your benefit Heather...and yours, Miranda. These groups are incredible trailblazers here. Also the group Homes Now, Not Later is pioneering tiny home village projects, and the S.O.S. - working on homelessness in crisis, and we had a strong neighborhoods groups system developing for a lnog time...until we hit the Covid Crisis and our government leaders shut down. We simply need to revitalize the elements we togeher.
00:19:34 Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net: I agree with Stan on the book for the financial issues.
00:19:36 Miranda Clendening: About to turn 80 but looking for way to connect to community/ how to communicate- question- was in Ojai CA- how do we talk to problem of corporatocracy
00:19:49 Miranda Clendening: And working with businesses that could help with capital and not harm
00:20:19 Miranda Clendening: We take the US world view that is not polarizing… we all need to change what we can
00:20:34 Miranda Clendening: We do have a whole business/ corporate change sector we work with
00:20:56 Miranda Clendening: We also are working with the ESG movement
00:20:57 Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net: FOCUS on what WE WANT! Enhances its creation, as David mentioned on the first step is INTENTION.
00:21:14 Miranda Clendening: Public-private-civic sector
00:21:19 Miranda Clendening: partnerships
00:21:37 Miranda Clendening: Show up in whole system orientation for change
00:21:59 Lorenzo - TRANSISCOPE.ORG: about 7 billions of Urbanists NGO with the Open Urbanism Foundation Genèva The Open Urbanism Foundation will act from Paris and the “Genève Internationale" in support of citizens, public organisations, researchers and private actors in urbanism, architecture and landscape. As an international foundation with a general interest purpose, it will encourage and provide support for territorial transformations through collective intelligence by co-producing and sharing educational programs, approaches and civic technologies. Its operations will be based on the ethics of free software and the principles of copyleft to guarantee the freedom of use, study, transformation and contribution of the shared commons.
The Open Urbanism Foundation will act from Paris and the “Genève Internationale" in support of citizens, public organisations, researchers a
00:22:08 Tina Michel: Thank you, Stan, for the book recommendation!
00:22:22 Miranda Clendening: Paloma Pavel
00:22:51 Lorenzo - TRANSISCOPE.ORG: about 7 billions of Urbanists A pragmatic way to advance the practices of the HOST lab and those of the hosting researchers/students in the form of a very dense workshop framework. Can be applied to any subject as long as it is complex.
To give you a concrete idea of the workshops we organize with schools and universities...here is for example the work of a team of three students in China in a village and a video from another group in Ecuador in the metropolis of Quito.
A crucial point that appeared to the participants at the end of the workshop was the importance of knowing how to mobilize their expert knowledge in a balanced dialogue with civil society, political authorities, technicians... This is a fascinating ethical problem, as much in relation to the meaning as to the pragmatic answers to be invented to create more inclusion and sustainability during territorial transformations. The approach of the free software philosophy and the transformation of software
00:24:09 Miranda Clendening: Creating Climate action plans
00:24:34 Joy Gilfilen: I would love to invite you, David to do an interview on both my iChange Justice podcast platform and talk about how regenerative business models for restorative justice, and then onto the JoyTalk civic converation's platform to do a powerpoint presentation for our regional community. We are in the middle of the social hurricane here because of an active police action against the homeless in our community on Jan. 28...that became a bully pulpit. I did a powerpoint presentation about this. Again, I will link shortly and would love to have you on the show. It is time.

00:26:14 Miranda Clendening: Recent legislation is targeted at a region so cities dn counties have to work together as a region
