SPM: Mother of all questions…we are all living in response to climate crisis, pick up on Sma’s what can we do right in front of us? Structural needs may be beyond our ability to change, infant of us create a connectedness of living systems, holding question in terms of little/young people, going outside, what if the tree were related, what would you ask them, increasing ages ask them, why is it called a pod, let’s call it a biological research pond, create a sensibility that we are inextricably connected to Earth when we are now so far removed, put kids in nature with relationship, plant, Academy of Global Relationship, developing capacity for interconnectedness, SC: Cities kids living in a world where they do not see nature, Academy  love of self/others/nature, in an industrial section of city, converted dentists office at first now a converted barrel factory, collecting rainwater/chickens but has limits to what can be done in this former industrial site, not 6 acres abandoned in the city for future school

SC: global group and transcends people who work in education, adults with young people, what feels like the most important thing to convey to adults in the ways we interact with children? What does it take to liberate the goodness/genius and ignited human creativity for the world? The how locks off the possibility, restricts to strategy and process, If we want to It was initially depressing to hear people say, “Do you really believe that?” That within each child there is goodness/genius, respond means this is my current thinking, Horse whisperer: metaphor for becoming child whisperers, don’t bully. punish/control/cajole instead discern, connect translated into child whisperer teaching autistic spychophrenic children, put her hands on his face, gently rubbing his face, quietly keeping eye contact, from hyperactivity to respond to her mom, bring children alive, RESPONSE: believe that within each child there is inherent goodness/genius, what will it take to adapt to each child, deeper than personalized learning,

In the Bay Area - the San Mateo public schools are learning to respond to Sea Level Rise by having project based learning about biomimicry and then rolling up their sleeves to actually gather soil, water and air samples and helping to build natural filtration barriers to slow bayside erosion.
