COMMENT: In alignment with today’s theme about Peace, I have argued that as a human species, we just basically have a “thought problem”. For this reason, I recently wrote a brief blog article in relation to a global conference where I was a keynote speaker on the topic of global mental health. The article is titled: “Archetypal Energies & Global Mental Health”. One of the Archetypal Energies is “Peace”. Archetypal Energies are Higher Vibrational Energies that operate deep within our psyches at individual & collective levels that guide us toward our optimal selves & optimal realities. We tend to experience them as “creative urges”.

In 2016 I had the privilege to work on the production of most of the highest level sporting events in California…including the Super Bowl. At 6am GameDay I was on the field and thought “What’s the big deal? This is just another football game! Everyone’s focused on the winners! But underneath that was the fact that each of those winners had experienced loss way more often than they’d experienced being the winner. They were overcomers and persisted until they became the best and experienced being on the winning team.” Not just the athletes but perhaps even those who were simply able to be in attendance, witness and experience that historical event.

I have a Japanese American friend who has just been in Paris, is doing a practice from Paris to LA. She’s having people connect through the Tanks Bushi dance to honor Japan. She needed this as a bigger context to be part of.
