There is also the problem of extracting minerals in Africa for electric cars. There is now a rush for these both from the ground and the bottom of the sea. This is still exploiting the Earth and harming both the earth and the poorest people extracting these minerals for the benefit of the richest countries.

I think we are at a turning point. The current power structures are past their expiry date, they just didn::'t get the email yet. It probably landed in their spam as most reasonable requests have. Buckminster Fuller has been quoted too often maybe, but we never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. I hope and think that the Climate Youth is starting to understand that they need to take the reigns of power and responsibility to turn things around at the speed and scale necessary to avert collapse. We do have the knowledge, the changemakers and the pilot projects to do that. Scaling that up will require old system finance, but with that we can create a regenerative economy much faster than most people imagine. The time is now, let'::s regenerate our beautiful, living but heavily damaged planet now before it is too late. We are the ones who will do it, together with this brilliant young generation, the smartest ever.
