I also don’t think it’s humanity though - I think it’s the way we’ve set up systems based on money (esp the last 30 years) and it’s leadership and governance, more than most humans. My friends and I in say - middle management - we would not run things in the unconscious ways they are run and it’s the biggest frustration. I say this without being able to explain it fully - but IMHO there’s inherent unsustainable systemic and industrial (what I call corporate capitalism) paradigms causing the adolesence level of consciousness.

I agree - in the big companies I worked and consulted in, when people didn’t feel backed up or if they thought lay offs or work changes would come often, they didn’t behave and perform as well as of course was available. Comment: In alignment with Scott’s view of “work is the new religion”, at the university where I work, some colleagues & I started what we called an Undoing Racism Assembly. I was asked to write the mission statement & I used the words having the university to become “a leading anti-racist and health promoting university”. Somehow the university’s Chancellor started using that phraseology to work on shifting the university’s consciousness & environment in a compassionate way. And, yet, he does not even know where the phrase came from and how it was originated.
