               =========================

11:17:55 From Victoria Moore to Everyone:

From Victoria Moore: Dean of Students at Ubiquity

11:18:46 From Victoria Moore to Everyone:

This is fantastic! Thank you Joe for all that you have accomplished over 33 years! Great video!

11:23:32 From Jed Diamond to Everyone:

The new book is: Long Live Men! The Moonshot Mission to Heal Men, Close the Lifespan Gap, and Offer Hope to Humanity. It will be officially launched later this year. But you can get a copy on Amazon.com. Check it out and leave a review. It also has a chapter with each of the founding members of the Moonshot.

11:26:20 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

Such powerful stories, Shana. We need many more Shanas in the world!

11:26:46 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

So true, holding a Man’s vulnerability is so important! Nice!

11:27:45 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

"acquaintanships" is spot on. Checking out vs. checking in.

11:31:14 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

from hurt men hurting others to healing men helping others to heal. love that

11:31:31 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

   💖

11:32:55 From Connie Baxter Marlow to Everyone:

Yes! We are dealing with the armored male heart. I believe their hearts are extremely tender and they are wounded from childhood from the cultural expectations as well as the little girls in their lives, with whom they fall in love early on who don’t respond accordingly.

11:33:27 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Question: What has your experience been for Men who are  really busy & not able to show affection consistently need to get to stop any guilt?

11:34:18 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

The connection between healing and emotional health, and the link between all of this and men being "allowed" (socially) to express human emotions, are such powerful points. Thanks for saying this so well, Shana.

11:36:15 From Shana James to Everyone:

Dehanna: I find that men who are busy and not able to show affection are often moving so fast that they are unaware. Someone coming to them with love and understanding, welcoming more of them and being curious about them, can help them open up. It may not be fast or immediate but it can happen.

11:36:43 From Shana James to Everyone:

   Thanks Betty. 💓

11:36:46 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

Thanks for your share Connie… I personally have encountered many men around me who’ve armored their hearts due to the excruciating amount of shame they’re carrying since childhood… it can be a painful vicious cycle

11:37:16 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

Thanks for your Question Dehanna, I’ve made a note of it

11:38:20 From Frederick Marx to Host and Panelists:

I’d like to take the floor and follow Jed and speak…

11:38:55 From Shana James to Everyone:

   👍🏽

11:39:05 From MaLe Corona to Host and Panelists:

The dance floor’s yours Frederick 🕺🏻

11:39:17 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

Ed Frauenheim - Please consider participating in the AfterChat conversation after this main program has ended. You can join the After Chat here:

               ::::::::::https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81045613451?pwd=S1JxSE9WNzJQV2JKSXhhaFZ3Wng1UT09::::::::::

               Passcode: 919541

                            ..oOo..

11:39:50 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

   Thanks very much, Frederick

11:40:21 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

Yes to that…. Kudos Ed! 💯✨

11:40:25 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Sure, thanks. Learning different rhythms for affection & connection is timeless, right. It’s quality not quantity…energetically present goes beyond the physicality of time spent.

11:40:59 From Kathleen McTeigue to Everyone:

Yes, thank you Ed for sharing your vulnerability in such a public forum.

11:41:01 From Len Robinson to Everyone:

Being "busy" is a great place to hide. And it is not safe to go to those feeling places. I was so numb that I had to commit to stoping during the day to ask myself - what am I feeling and journaling. Eventually I was able to got to a place of "I am worth looking after myself"

11:41:24 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

Love that comment and reflection, Len.

11:41:30 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

What a lovely self-awareness practice Len

11:41:34 From Shana James to Everyone:

That is powerful Len - recognizing your own worth!

11:42:34 From Shana James to Everyone:

Frederick — Beautiful to honor people for what they uniquely are doing, rather than complaining about what is missing. Then from love we can make loving requests.

11:42:57 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

From shaming to honoring and blessing--yes!

11:43:02 From Dr Maura Conlon to Everyone:

How does a man deal with a partner/spouse who has done her inner work and who “waits for him” to do the same. Does that shame a man?

11:43:24 From Shana James to Everyone:

Thank you Ed for taking care of yourself and sharing your story with men, and all people.

11:44:53 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

For those who cannot attend the AfterChat, we publish links to each AfterChat as well as links to all 750 episodes of Humanity Rising. Add your email here or as a DM to me to receive the ChatPeople daily report of links.

11:44:58 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

Thanks, Ed, for that powerful story about the ski group.

11:45:22 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

   Great advice, Frederick. Thank you

11:45:44 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

For more on that ski industry story: ::https://edfrauenheim.medium.com/f-ck-the-tough-guy-show-643f6fc99e3::

11:45:51 From Len Robinson to Everyone:

Depends on the energy of the person Who "thinks" they have done their work - as it's a journey - not a destination.

11:47:14 From Victoria Moore to Everyone:

From Victoria: Thank you Frederick for the necessity and brilliance of “Stop and Honor and Bless” men. Wonderful to honor and bless Ed for stepping p in public for sharing and admitting some of his challenges. “Honor and Acknowledge” men. Reminding us that men have a noble source of purpose—“To sacrifice and serve”. Therefore honor ow hard they are working and to help them acknowledge the beauty of themselves.”

11:47:43 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

   Beautiful reflection, Victoria 🙂

11:47:50 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

   +1 Victoria

11:48:16 From Dr Maura Conlon to Host and Panelists:

   Thank you all.

11:48:59 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

I agree Fredrick to honor the men who are providers. Taking in the Big Picture. My question was delegated to a new relationship not an established one. Rhythm & accessibility to one’s authentic feelings & “showing up w/ affection” takes some patience & listening skills, right, to growing a healthy relationship…just wanted a heads up on strategy for that?

11:50:31 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

Mark Gungor - The Nothing Box - Part 1 - Here is a really funny talk about men vs women ::https://youtu.be/SWiBRL-bxiA::

11:50:33 From Shana James to Everyone:

Dehanna: Since it is a new relationship I wonder if you’ve had conversations about your relationship visions and desires — if the two of you are talking about the “We” of your relationship?

11:51:04 From Jed Diamond to Everyone:

Promundo is the organization and offers information worldwdide.

11:51:32 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

Dehanna: I also invite you to check Shana’s Book: ‘Honest Sex’…. It’s enlightening!

11:51:37 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

Thanks for bringing that Promundo research in, and painting the bigger picture, Lisa!

11:51:54 From Linda Palmer to Host and Panelists:

To Stan Pokras:  Please add me to the ChatPeople  daily reports so I can receive the links to the Humanity Rising episodes.  My email is twohotpalms@yahoo.com.  Have a magnificent week!  Thank You very much,

11:52:18 From Shana James to Everyone:

Yes, we have to look at the individual and the cultural. Thank you Lisa.

11:52:20 From Jøran Solberg to Everyone:

being a provider is more useful than being dependent on the state.

11:52:45 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Nope, he’s honest about his ability to integrate a relationship now. But, our connection is deep.

11:53:23 From Stan Pokras to Jed Diamond(Direct Message):

Are you familiar with Mark Gungor - The Nothing Box??? It’s REALLY true and REALLY funny. Men's Brains and Women's Brains with Mark Gungor (Nothing Box) ::https://youtu.be/SZ6mVumHY9I::

11:55:00 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

Thanks for sharing this, Jim. Powerful stuff that takes courage.

11:55:10 From Mary Thorp_WV to Everyone:

   Business = busy ness

11:55:23 From Shana James to Everyone:

Thank you Jim for your vulnerability.

11:55:24 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

I second that, Ed… Thanks Jim, respect to you 🙂

11:56:25 From Jed Diamond to Stan Pokras(Direct Message):

Stan, send me that link to Mark Bangor and Nothing Box. Jed@MenAlive.com

11:56:40 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

I love the empathetic framing here. So often we shame/blame men for their shortcomings. It is such a healthier approach to see men as glasses half-ful. Trying to do their best with the consciousness we have.

11:57:25 From Lisa Hickey / The Good Men Project to Everyone:

   ::https://www.amazon.com/s?k=the+myth+of+normal+gabor+mate+paperback&i=stripbooks&crid=22UV6KMWOO5LR&sprefix=the+myth+of+%2Cstripbooks%2C115&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_12::

11:57:42 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

   Yes

11:57:48 From Lisa Hickey / The Good Men Project to Everyone:

The Myth of Normal by Gabor Mate

11:57:55 From Mary Thorp_WV to Everyone:

I gave up being part of business (= busy ness) 30+ yrs ago.  I knew I didn’t want to be part of that system.  In the process, creating a life of balanced living.  It’s been challenging, at best.

11:57:57 From Stan Pokras to Jed Diamond(Direct Message):

I’ll email you… It’s over 12 years old, but so wonderfully right on!

11:58:21 From Stan Pokras to Jed Diamond(Direct Message):

   It’s on YouTube.

11:58:26 From Mary Thorp_WV to Everyone:

   … and worth every moment

11:58:56 From MaLe Corona to Everyone:

I hear you! Good for you, Mary!

11:58:57 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

   With Love...

11:59:11 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

not sure of plan from here, but I'd be happy to share a storyu related to my own health and realtionships

11:59:32 From Mary Thorp_WV to Everyone:

The status quo wants to be disrupted.

11:59:47 From E F to Host and Panelists:

I’d call it predatory last stage global capitalism perhaps as much as “culture”

12:00:05 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Exactly, Jung said, All dis-ease is repressed creativity…directly related to freedom in emotive ways!

12:00:13 From Shana James to Everyone:

Mary, I’m taking your example as inspiration!

12:00:26 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

So true. And we can write new stories!

12:00:29 From Victoria Moore to Everyone:

From Victoria: Thank you Jim for your venerability and your sharing of your journey of awareness and consciousness.

12:00:30 From Shana James to Host and Panelists:

   Bring it ed!

12:00:34 From MaLe Corona to Host and Panelists:

The conversation goes non-linear from now on Ed, feel free to chime in when it feels resonant to you. We’re doing some sense-making of the topic together

12:00:43 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:

I have always been in the work place and either supporting myself or the primary breadwinner in my relationship - I don’t feel I’ve repressed emotions (though don’t doubt that occurs) as I’ve always been into spirituality and personal development. However, I do feel I have been ‘too busy” and worked too many hours most of my life, up until now, and missed out on events etc. that I would go back and change….

12:00:53 From Stan Pokras to E F, Host and Panelists:

Your comments can be seen by all if you change the blue “To” to “Everyone”

12:01:01 From Kathleen McTeigue to Everyone:

Thank you, Jim, for sharing your vulnerability. I resonate deeply with what you shared.

12:01:02 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:

I have to drop for work…

12:01:22 From E F to Everyone:

I’d call it predatory last stage global capitalism as much as “culture”

12:02:51 From Lisa Hickey / The Good Men Project to Everyone:

“They surrounded me so closely I couldn’t fall over.” - that is beautiful.

12:03:14 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

While talking about “Man Box” look up “The Nothing Box” on YouTube. It’s really funny and really true set of talks.

12:04:51 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Empathy is the Humanistic quality…for Heart Intelligence to be utilized

12:05:10 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

   +1 on empathy so key

12:05:19 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

It’s the Human designs positive energy

12:05:31 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

   I believe

12:06:10 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

“Love turns humans into an ocean of happiness, an image of Peace, a temple of wisdom. Love is your very Self, your true beauty and the glory of one’s human existence.”~ Muktananda

12:06:16 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

Or maybe Riane Eisler's dominator system?

12:06:18 From Victoria Moore to Everyone:

Indeed—“I was surrounded so tightly I couldn’t fall over.” Thank you Ed for your openness and vulnerability, and all that you have learned and applied to your life from your experiences. So true that mental health problems after heart attacks are prominent. Your statement—“A heart incident shatters not reaching out to others.” I am so glad you had supportive and kind health care and colleagues after your incident.

12:07:02 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

Joe Conrad… the word empathy is really important. But there is another word that I like when talking about how people get along. That word is “Tolerance.” People who can tolerate each other’s messy home keeping can have long marriages. My wife and I at 35 years together are proof.

12:07:04 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

   Thanks, Victoria!

12:07:18 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

The Man Box and the tendency of women to dive into the same trap has to do at least as much with Nature Deficiency as Relationship Deficiency. Having a relationship with Nature eases the issues of humanity.

12:07:24 From Shana James to Everyone:

Broken masculinity could be a doorway to men knowing and loving themselves beyond the man box with the right relational and cultural support.

12:07:31 From Betty Woodman to Everyone:

Thanks for tying this together with the insight on empathy, Joe.

12:07:50 From Dr Maura Conlon to Everyone:

“You are loved more than you know.” A good man-tra for the day.

12:08:01 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

   Maura, nice!!

12:08:21 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

yes on the opportunity in the crisis of heart attacks, Shana. More on that study and my experience: ::https://edfrauenheim.medium.com/arrow-and-circle-men-128efeb589ef::

12:08:44 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Question: What about the Feminine Principle moving through Men? Is that’s what’s happening in & out for ALL?

12:10:14 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

Love that question, Dehanna. I like to think of the feminine principle as the circle in the arrow and circle masculinity symbol. Both masculine and feminine energies/ archetypes are available to all of us.

12:11:26 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Is the aspect of Nurturing self so imperative?

12:12:28 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

i’d like to offer here another word that I feel strongly about. That word is “helpfulness.” Part of my life work has to do with helpfulness to the point that I often say that “Helpfulness Brings People Into Focus.”

12:13:06 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

   Teaching Happiness…

12:13:37 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

I designed an elective Happiness course about 10 years ago for Van Nuys Middle School where many students are still doing the Homework assignment, so many years later!  See Shaun Achor's Happiness Advantage, a 12 minute TED.com talk for a more fun and practical happy life. You probably already do a few of the practices - just add the others.

   The initial assignment is:

Laugh for at least 30 seconds straight each day... experiment with the variety of laughter styles. See how that feels. Tightens the abs for a flatter rather than fatter tummy. Let me know what you think about it all. How about getting your family today to dedicate at least 30 seconds to laugh each day?

12:14:17 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

   URL again please? Nod?

12:14:21 From Lisa Hickey / The Good Men Project to Everyone:

Dehanna, I think part of the problem is that men have been shamed for embracing so-called “feminine” qualities. Women haven’t been shamed (as much) for embracing masculine qualities, thanks in part, to the work of the feminist movement. But men embracing qualities that in the past has been seen as “feminine” shouldn’t be controversial.

12:14:36 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

   +1 Lisa

12:14:44 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

   Thanks, Shana

12:15:22 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

NY subways probably 98% on phones! It’s alarming

12:16:21 From Lisa Hickey / The Good Men Project to Everyone:

I love this “island of sanity” that I am in right now!

12:16:32 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

I like to take the idea of Helpfulness even further. I wish that the dark time we are in now will break out into what I like to call “The Age of Helpfulness.”

12:16:55 From Carroy Ferguson to Everyone:

COMMENT: Humbly, I suggest that we tend to relate to “ culture” like an “addiction”.  I wrote an article about this awhile ago, titled “Beyond Self-Limiting and Addictive Cultural Scripts: The Transformative Power of Preference in the Now”.  Here’s the link: ::https://www.academia.edu/7522089/Beyond_Self_Limiting_and_Addictive_Cultural_Scripts_The_Power_of_Preference_in_the_Now::

12:17:18 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Totally agree Lisa… The Maternal instinct is the nutritious way for ALL HUMANS

12:17:47 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

The AfterChat has provided that opportunity for closeness to a lot of us. Thank you Stan for instigating it, and thank you Jim, for Humanity Rising because without it, we would never have created our island of sanity.

12:19:11 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

CREATING VIRTUES and PREVENTING VIOLENCE, and corruption. This program, ::http://LivingValues.net:: has over 90% reduction in violence in a Thai Refugee Camp within 2 years! 12:20:04 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

   Fab story Ed! 🙏

12:20:08 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

12:20:59 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:

Dr. Ferguson, please allow me to introduce you and the list of Humanity Rising episodes you have led… See your page on OtherNetworks here: ::https://othernetworks.org/Dr._Carroy_(Cuf)_Ferguson::

12:21:39 From Kathleen McTeigue to Everyone:

Great book, Stolen Focus by Johann Hari.

12:21:53 From Connie Baxter Marlow to Everyone:

Yes Ed - It depends upon where we put our attention - when we know that everything is serving the opening of the human heart and the coming of peace on Earth we see different outcomes.

12:22:16 From Ed Frauenheim to Host and Panelists:

Thanks for the lovely framing, Connie!

12:25:04 From Ed Frauenheim to Everyone:

Love that story, Frederick. We all can have such different journeys to a wiser, healthier masculinity/human consciousness.

12:25:35 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:

Well, that’s what’s happening to the young men NOW!

12:25:44 From Stan Pokras to Everyone:
