Karen Ball to Panelists and Attendees (11:14 AM)
YES CAT! Speak truth to power!
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)
fear, domination, scarcity and capitalistic competition and greed have poisoned us!
Karen Ball to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)
totally agree Ruthe
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)
I DO NOT CONSENT to these energies. I and we and Earth herself are NOT slaves nor victims.
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (11:18 AM)
I wonder if our quest is not of convincing another of our old view and our vision - but in co-creating a shared vision - and the processes that are used would also be required to be co-created
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:18 AM)
time to compost those feelings!!
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:18 AM)
absolutely Lesley! thank you
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (11:18 AM)
I hope she tells us what IS the system that will get us there if it’s not Capitalism
Candy Leonard to Panelists and Attendees (11:19 AM)
Yes - a new bottom line
Karen Ball to Panelists and Attendees (11:19 AM)
YES- new bottom line of revolutionary love
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)
“meritocracy”
Karen Ball to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)
It creates trauma
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)
What does it mean “to make it”?
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)
oh, those poison nasty three Cs... competition, Criticism and comparison. witness, breathe, release. rinse, repeat. on behalf of all beings
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)
How important is love to the peace process take the survey to express your viewsLhttps://chataction.org/peace-lab-surveys/
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)
go revolutionary love - it will have a greater vibration of transformation if those who are living in fear and other narratives recognize the value of their story and believe that they are not being asked to go over to “the other side” (the one that holds the vision “love” that has already been created - but they hold deep cellular memory of a new story and in a invitation to explore it fearlessly
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:30 AM)
The Olone people had 2000 years with out war.
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (11:31 AM)
thank you Marilyn and Thomas, for loving me, giving to give....I love you always
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:34 AM)
Patterning Instinct by Jermey Lent is a wonderful history of all of this!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:34 AM)
“an heir and a spare” - some mothers have not given to give. Sorry to say, and imho only. Our Great Mother continues to be my best example - She makes life possible and loves us, continually even if we don’t believe in Her.
Tikkun.org
Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:41 AM)
I don't think that the problem that progressive people have with "religion" has to do with the religions themselves... I think that the problems people feel with religion is with the attitude of many religious leaders.
Candy Leonard to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)
The problem with religion is patriarchy, hierarchy, misogyny, entrenched power, and, oh yeah, sexual abuse.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)
Appreciating the rational integrity of Rabbi Michael’s analysis
Candy Leonard to Panelists and Attendees (11:45 AM)
Instititutional religion
Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:45 AM)
Thank you, Candy.
Dr. Carroy (Cuf) Ferguson to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)
Martin Luther King’s view of “revolutionary love” related to the relationship between love and power. In my view as an African American, I think it captures the essence of today’s theme. He said: “Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.” In my personal view, love sees no barriers, while fear does. Fear breeds mechanistic thinking & making “objects” out of people through either/or dualistic ways of framing reality & self-narratives.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)
Need really deep healing of the psyche, the psychology of our capitalist mind set
Candy Leonard to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)
Self-blame also keeps people buying stuff they don’t need in hopes of feeling better
Scarcity mindset
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)
We need to go beyond scape-hosting each other to find our shared life directive, our global heart
scape-goating
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)
Right, those who voted for the Right, voted against their own self-interests and were one issue voters a lot of the time. and Hillary won the popular vote, let's not forget that. But it's true the people running for office and those supporting them need to truly learn to LISTEN to those feeling disirespected and put down.
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
I wonder if the moment we use labels such as racist, stupid, we are perpetrating a narrative that continues to give power to a two sided story.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
We need to re-cognizant that deeper spiritual directive of our human existence with our political agendas and bottom lines
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
That is one of the gifts of systems thinking - IMO
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
YES, namecalling and labeling is other-ing and totally alienates
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
Both speakers have spoken about how the left hasn’t addressed really changing the global economic and power bottom lines
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
And those who are responsible for these pollutions are held accountable.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
I don't believe you can divide people in left and right.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)
This may be true of people living in the western environment. This is western capitalist point of view. That is no reason for people to be emotionally and spiritually bencrupt. Its the western system that keeps telling people because they are poor they are bankrupt emotionally and spiritually.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)
YAY Diane Sue!!!
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)
in the developing world and inner tribal communities who don't have any of the western markers of progress have deep empathic and spiritual wisdom.
Diane Sue to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)
I highly recommend the training. A wonderful opportunity to practice new ways of having collaborative conversations.
Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
It’s organized chaos :)
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
I have always found the empathetic listening allows all parties to be in the moment of all the stories that are holding power - and the journey is to feel that those stories mean, how they are affecting us - possibly quite differently. I see it as a slippery slope if we use empathetic listening as the precursor for providing the rationale for seeing the situation differently
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
Profound order out of chaos😉
Eleanor LeCain to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
How will radical empathy matter when these folks equate liberals with the Devil and want to kill us?
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)
Organised mind and disorganised surrounding that sounds like me. appreciate your surroundings Rabbi michel
Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:01 PM)
Cat's program might be what is needed to offer people who wish to be part of a radically helpful network where helpers work together via some form of social media to provide helpful connections for their "clients."
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
Cuff - I’m guessing that is taken from one of your writings? Which one?
Karen Ball to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
Beyond Vietnam
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
the western view is not the entire world view , its time to accept that notion with grace.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Very true Malini
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Malini, so true.
Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:04 PM)
I'm thinking about a social media that I call "level two social media." Level two social media would be used by helpful people who work with other helpers to bring information, resources and connections to their clients.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Malini - I’ve found power over in every culture
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Great problem is that it’s imposing it in the rest of the world to the extent that it is
AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
Current manifestation of MLK’s movement is the Poor People’s Campaign for a New Moral Revival — today promoting minimum wage increase https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/livestream/?link_id=1&can_id=ef4b75c97cf1d18fd5bbceae15e1fe29&source=email-tune-in-moral-monday-fight-for-15-a-union-2&email_referrer=email_1069518&email_subject=tune-in-raise-the-wage-moral-monday….Live now
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:06 PM)
YES, a living wage!!!!!
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:06 PM)
Caste and class society is rather global; we need universal basic income and real education for all
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:06 PM)
Yes, I’’m so happy to hear this!
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)
YEES work to live not live to work
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)
Rights of Nature like Chile’s new constitution
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
Kala I agree but what type of education, who delivers the content, what is the covert agenda that modules education and who is that education is module to serve.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
I want a USA Marshall Plan!!!
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
Global Marshall Plan is a serious vision for transformation of the global economy
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
Oh, he’s so right..
we need friends not enemies
Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:09 PM)
A global "marshal plan" ought to support the guaranteed income Rabbi Lerner mentioned and not just a free lunch to the rich in each country.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
let’s make China a friend and maybe help them to see the “way” to treat people etc
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
I am cautious about ‘development.’ I see Africa eliminating the migration routes in the name of ‘progress’ and the need for roads.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
We cn set an example with our NEW ways
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
Malibu, I’ve been connecting the Seed and Spark education visions that we had here a week or so back - inspiring
Malini
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
Weve seen how the Christian based education has systematically descimated cultureal traditions all over the world. from chaning the clothes and garments worn as uniform, to the prayers and the games played in the playfields , to the understanding of local agricultural practices and local sciences that are relevant to the local populations. Education is a highly fine tuned weapon of the doctrine of discovery.
Jane Norton to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
What is the book?
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Is what he’s saying now in his book he showed us?
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Kala - YES!
Diane Sue to Panelists and Attendees (12:12 PM)
Much of the information is on their website at https://spiritualprogressives.org/
Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:12 PM)
Speaking of a constitutional amendment... we need to end "corporate personhood" and "money as speech."

Revolutionary Love: A Political Manifesto to Heal and Transform the World
RABBI MICHAEL LERNER
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (12:12 PM)
Do you know about Jamen Shively and Sailesh Rao's plan to supply free plant based food to all who will accept it -- as a way to share the deliciousness and healthfulness of a vegan diet and as a way to reduce global warming by leading to the end of methane exhaled by cows and an end to cutting down rainforests to pasture cows.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:12 PM)
He’s got the answers…I’m going to buy his book
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (12:13 PM)
let us see and be what LOVE CAN DO.

How Wealth Rules the World - the book:
About the Crisis of DEMOCRACY, LAW, Money and the Environment:
The Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) is building a movement for Community Rights and the Rights of Nature to advance democratic, economic, social, and environmental rights – building upward from the grassroots to the state, federal, and international level.
https://celdf.org/
CELDEF published a book that reveals the most important environmental and legal blockages to democracy and the rights of communities and nature by Ben G. Price "How Wealth Rules the World" It describes how the U.S. Supreme Court has been and still is a choir for the Theology of Property.

Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:15 PM)
Labels are not about speaking truth to power - it is about creating the space for multiple truths to be explored.
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (12:15 PM)
it’s not about separating and suppressing, it’s about INTEGRATING. yep, and it’s not taught to us or modelled. and THIS IS NEW, challenging and incredibly worthwhile
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
Every time we use a label that divides- we perpetrate dualities.
And we fuel the you versus me paradigm
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
I'm constantly doing protective Tibetan Buddhist mantras to protect these good people including the President and VP. We really need protection for those trying to do good and create new good policies
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
Can we name the dynamics and not use labels? Colonialism = power over, etc…
Patriciafaye Marshall to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
I do not believe there are evil people, evil acts yes!!!!!
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
There is overt and covert evil. Supporting, funding and promoting evil through propaganda is also evil. Telling lies to fulfil ones own evil covert agenda is also evil . So lets not be hypoctiyical about recognising what is evil.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:18 PM)
I hope those that did harm Jan 6 are restrained.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:18 PM)
Evil acts are perpetrated by kind good people?
Patriciafaye Marshall to Panelists and Attendees (12:18 PM)
Can we please distinguish the deed from the doer?!!!!
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Patriciafaye, Do Good kind people do evil things.?
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
It takes unconditional love to distinguish the person from the deed.
Patriciafaye Marshall to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
Yes the truth of us is that we are all basically GOOD!
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
Would we not progress if we had a shared understanding of what we are being called to co-create (a new future) this requires us to be in relationship with them and use our fearless love for the world we a shaping
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
The search for meaning can be seductive - so many of the insurrectionists believed they were serving the country…
Patriciafaye Marshall to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
Yes Kat! Thank You!
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
even my use of them is unhelpful. This is all pat of us
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
Ignorance of nonduality leads to misunderstanding which leads to fear which leads to prejudice which leads to hatred and this leads to evil acts.
Clare Rosenfield to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
That's true. I find it nearly impossible to dialogue with a woman who believes the lies and feels T. was doing good policies. We always acknowledge that we love each other no matter what but the mindset is impossible to change, it seems.
Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:22 PM)

Kurt Krueger to Panelists and Attendees (12:24 PM)
Rabbi, I just ask a friend if he’d read your book, His reply-“Michael learner is an extreme leftist who's against Israel and supports Israel's enemies. On the other hand he has a very strong social consciousness.”
Rachel Root to Panelists and Attendees (12:24 PM)
Thank you for this excellent conversation!!
Cat Zavis to Panelists and Attendees (12:24 PM)
Move to Amend does not go as far as our Environmental and Social Responsibility Amendment to the US Constitution. It allows governments and states to decide how much money they can accept instead of publicly funded elections. www.tikkun.org/esra to learn more
