hi Carolyn; my question: would you agree with me (and my colleague Helena Norberg-Hodge) that, to really make progress in what we are seeking to do here together, we need not only to find global ‘community’ like this, but to help facilitate a relocalisation of our world so that we can have more real community. And would you agree Carolyn that, furthermore, we should put significant ‘resources’ into >creating< such real community ourselves. I.e Real communities ultimately have to be physical, not virtual. One of the major factors that has gotten us to the chaos of today is the fact that we have been mimicking nature.  Really?  Yes! Just like any other animal that has procreative capabilities (aka open-ended desire) and has an unlimited food supply, we have (more or less) continuously increased our population during this interglacial phase of earth’s cycling climate.  Perhaps, after the dark, unique species initiation process that may be just beginning, we can find a way to stop doing that.  Whatever the case, as Carolyn Baker said, emotional and spiritual endurance will be required.
