During this first week of Advent, we turn to the theme of inner contemplation and renewal through practices of silence and presence. The Gospel of Mary Magdalene, an early Christian scripture recovered in the late 19th century in Egypt and first translated into English in our time, presents a pathway of inner awakening rooted in contemplation, silence and practices of remembering the Good, the True and the Beautiful.
