Today we will brainstorm and explore strategic and imaginative ways to bring about significant and positive systemic changes in social, economic, and environmental structures. We'll combine critical thinking and creativity to develop effective solutions, considering both fundamental changes and innovative approaches. We'll examine underlying structures and processes that need to be changed. Come explore with us how to make a real impact on the world.

“Creativity Rising” is a Five-Day Symposium celebrating the fourth anniversary of Climate Change & Consciousness. Held April 17- 21 co-facilitated by Stephanie Mines and Kathleen Brigidina recognizing a momentous creative shift in our collective consciousness. Gathering a multidisciplinary panel of visionary creatives, biologists, indigenous wisdom keepers, land guardians, scientists, and community builders who are joining forces to ignite a surge of innovative solutions to address the environmental challenges and devastating social impacts of climate change, pollution, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity.

Symposium Co-Facilitators:

  • Dr. Stephanie Mines is a poet and the author of five books that reflect over three decades of research as a neuroscientist. She has investigated shock and trauma as a survivor, a professional, a clinical researcher, and healthcare provider. Her nonprofit The TARA Approach is instrumental in the systemic change she promotes as a Regenerative Health paradigm. Dr. Mines developed Climate Change & Consciousness (CCC) to facilitate inner transformation for grounded climate action.
  • Kathleen Brigidina’s spiritual reverence for Nature, our collective creative energy, and the mythical love longing to be expressed through our feminine voice, has inspired her lifelong calling. Guiding her for three decades as a sacred Earth artist, illustrator, poet/writer, interview host, workshop facilitator, creative visualization guide/doula/coach, energy healer, conscious evolutionary, and water ceremonialist. Presenters:

  • Dr. Spring Cheng is a coach and teacher in leadership development and self-awareness. Spring created a holistic blend to integrate her diverse experience as a dancer, artist, scientist and Chinese medicine practitioner. Spring spent the first half of her life in traditional, pre-industrialized China and the latter half in the US. After she received a doctoral degree in molecular biology and masters in biostatistics, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a data scientist. However, in her career as a scientist, her heart and spirit felt empty and deserted. She then dedicated herself to reconnecting with her own indigenous root through Chinese medicine and Taoism. Later, with her partner Joe Shirley, Spring co-founded the Resonance Path Institute, where she integrated these different disciplines through coaching and leadership development. Spring invented The Resonance Code, a rebirth of the ancient Chinese classic I Ching, the Book of Change, in the context of leadership and organizational development. She is the author of The Resonance Code:  Empowering Leaders to Evolve towards Wholeness. She is an advocate for integrating indigenous wisdom with modern thinking in the field of adult development. She brings her work to diverse places such as the U.S., Canada, China and European countries.
  • Anne Marie Chomat (MD, PhD, MPH) is a practitioner and thought-leader in decolonizing, wholistic approaches to health & wellbeing. She holds a PhD in stress-research focused on the intergenerational impact of stressors on women and their children in marginalized contexts. As a mentor, teacher, physician and community engagement practitioner, she has over 20 years’ experience working alongside some of the most marginalized populations across five continents. She co-founded Buena Semilla together with indigenous Maya women of Guatemala with whom she has been working over the last 12 years - a grassroots organization widely recognized for its innovations within the fields of women’s empowerment, participatory community mental health, and collective healing as a vehicle for transformative change. She is most passionate about co-creating decolonized, transformative spaces for unheard, voiceless peoples of this world, believing they hold deep medicine for the healing not only of self and the communities they belong to but also of our planet. She is fluent in English, French & Spanish, and a dedicated poetic artist & ceremonialist.
  • Stella Osorojos Eisenstein is a half Daughters-of-the-American-Revolution American, half Colombian/Ecuadorian walks-between-worlds. She began her training as her father had done with his father, by assisting in his Orthopedic clinic and tagging along as he made hospital rounds, but eventually woke one morning knowing that becoming an acupuncturist would integrate a crucial part of her soul. At Emperor’s College, where she studied under Yvonne Farrell, she had a spiritual awakening that she documented in a memoir, Star Sister: How I Changed My Name, Grew Wings, and Learned to Trust Intuition, published in 2012. She then went on to study Ortho-Bionomy with Christina Montes de Oca and Ursula Hofer, Depth Hypnosis with Isa Gucciardi, and Integrative Manual Therapy with Sharon Wieselfish-Giammatteo, Kris Albrecht, and Lisa Wheeler—all of which she uses in her private practice among the turf fields and quahogs of southern Rhode Island. Making a home in the interstices, she began teaching Resonant Attention in 2021 and sharing about re-skilling medicine at ::http://resonantattention.substack.com::, where she also documents her own journey with autoimmune disease, scoliosis, and cancer. Less a modality and more a principle of medicine, Resonant Attention engages the power of Interbeing and even miracles. Stella explores the energetic phenomena and felt experience around healing, including trauma, homeopathy, stay-listening, witnessing, allopathy, intention, and ritual. It seeks, ultimately, to heal medicine itself.
