In this Humanity Rising session, Peter Merry will explore with musician Luke Concannon the journey of an artist. We will go from Luke's early days of providing inspiration for a young Ed Sheeran, via a number 1 hit in the UK with the JCB song, trips through the Middle East, to the West coast of Ireland and now Vermont in the USA. This journey dips into themes such as how to combine your talents as an artist with the issues you care about as a human being in this world in transition. As a coach for singer - songwriters Luke will also share what he has discovered about how to really unleash your creativity, something much needed in the world at the moment. The journey will be interspersed with a mixture of recorded and live music illustrating the milestones on Luke’s trip to become who he is today. Luke’s new album is ‘Ecstatic bird in the burning’ about the joy of living, especially in a burning world.
