Around 200,000 years ago, there was an upgrade to our DNA that was NOT due to natural evolution according to recent assessments by Gregg Braden and some others. He points out that there was a deliberate change in some telomeres on (I think it was chromosome #2) which led to larger cerebral cortex and the enhanced capacity for vocal speech, including singing. The implication is open, but it sounds like a deliberate genetic refinement possibly/probably? due to off-planet interventions.
