@Hans, I understand your point here. There's a good question about why (in society) there's a need to draw distinctions between men and women about character, values, and human attributes. What I see here is the emphasis on an on-ramp for men who, through socialization (man box), have needed to suppress certain aspects of human capabilities, such as EQ.

Late one evening in the winter of 1927, Buckminster Fuller set out to kill himself in frigid Lake Michigan. At thirty-two years old, he was a failure. Ola, I think it is partly a result of men (and women) thinking there is “one” person who will satisfy all their needs. While for some people it might be true, most people need a wide variety of relationships to navigate this world and not feel lonely.

The London rally Sunday August 6th ( I believe at 1pm? ) has some sister rallies around the world. Any details for NYC, Philly, DC, etc would be appreciated.
Seattle has been having an inspiring 8pm Lantern Floating Ceremony for several years now.
I'm trying out some of these floating lantern designs at the reflection pool by the Barnes Art Museum on the JFK Parkway in Philadelphia over the next few evenings, if anyone is making some lanterns too, please join me for a potluck feast. We can fire some up and see how this floats.

Thanks Jim! "Toxic masculinity" is well named, as long as it's fairly applied to women. Let us all notice, that "toxic Patriarchal behavior" (also within women) is ALSO LETHAL. TOXIC ANYTHING KILLS! It may be helpful to separate toxic from identity and align it with behaviors. Although many who use toxic masculinity don't intend it to mean all masculinity, it can be heard that way. But naming alpha bullying or toxic bullying may be good replacements. It may also help with recognition... many men recognize the harms of alpha bullying (think of middle school bullying among men)… and also apply to women, since the jokes about women on the golf course or the locker room are related to toxic bullying as well.

We NEED our "clear faculty of judgement" used with extreme care to identify and differentiate! Good luck trying to replace this faculty, with compassion. Think on this: Judgement needs to include compassion!!!
