Good Day, Friends. Was able to stop the young men the developer hired behind me for taking out some of the nicer trees - he had told them to take out the small ones and weeds, they got to one nicer one, but I heard the chain saw and went over and helped them understand which were good trees vs. the weeds. Saved a few! Bless the ones we lost and lose daily - bless these young men who helped me. Hug the Trees! 🌳🙏🏻🌍 p.s. the lesson is don’t be afraid to go and ask… I had headed out with my sage to pray as they did their work but when realized what was going on I could support their awareness. They were very kind and I did give a little money ;)

I hope you know about Professor Carol Anderson, a black professor at Emory and author of many books . She tells our shameful US history from the beginning in her book I ordered White Rage. She said what whites call “Black Rage” is really White Rage. Please look her up. As a white person I am so glad these truths are finally being revealed. I’m sure that thie systems in place before and after the Civil War are still motivating many of our leaders today who should NOT be in Congress or the courts. How to transform all this? You are doing this today and more will be done thanks to you and all of us.

When I was arrested for protesting peacefully FERC at their headquarters in DC-most of the arresting security officers were big, strong, black men who were pushing, screaming, and generally bullying even 80 year old women. I realized then I could not rely on these black men appreciating standing up for calling for rights because they themselves had a cultural appreciation for being held as unseen, unheard, devalued. CUFF: healing wounds leaves a lingering scar…although efforts to do corrective action the scar remains in the systems that get structured so in acting our certain behaviors they forget a scar represents a wound, ML: Body keeps the scar, ways that will remain permanent (I can say it is for all of us carrying these scars-even if only witnessed on the news)

Yes the idea of the caste system, here in America is so pervasive and India is another place that this is endemic. I spent the early years of my life in Colonial Trinidad and I knew as a child after the rains began my classroom would have less children because the few from the Shanty towns above Port of Spain would have their homes washes away and would no longer be in scholar worse would no longer be alive. The conditions were so triable. Knew that then as a small child. I hear you and I thank you for your clarity and conscious awareness of the systems and the reality of raising the bar into a clear and potent reality . We have so much to repair here and the work continues. Oppression is a huge burden on its targeted millions, black and brown and all who are marginalized for whatever as humanity’s shadow. I feel so sad as a mother and a grandmother by this rage that seems endless here in 2023. Staying alive for young black men is a reality and I am heartbroken . Why do we continue to scapegoat?
