I designed an elective Happiness course about 10 years ago for Van Nuys Middle School where many students are still doing the Homework assignment, so many years later! See Shaun Achor's Happiness Advantage, a 12 minute TED.com talk for a more fun and practical happy life. You probably already do a few of the practices - just add the others.
The initial assignment is:
Laugh for at least 30 seconds straight each day... experiment with the variety of laughter styles. See how that feels. Tightens the abs for a flatter rather than fatter tummy. Let me know what you think about it all. How about getting your family today to dedicate at least 30 seconds to laugh each day?

Unfortunately, we are in a world of expanding militarism and division - taking away what we need to resolve the world's crises! Jeffrey Sachs, in an interview after the UN General Assembly meeting last September, said peace is first.
I humbly propose a new global peace movement - a Global Movement of Nonviolence is prepared. The twist is the LEADERSHIP, to create attention, but mainly to create change. Change in ourselves and our cultures of violence.
The twist is WOMEN leading the way promoting nonviolence - to get started and sustain the movement -- and then invite the men, because it is for everyone. Men are included.
We are in an emergency! Tom Eddington said "we are failing on a grand scale!" We need something different! The plan is ready now and we need every idea!

Create the new systems… which also holds a consciousness that isn't negative (quantum physics).
