Stan, there have been great strides in packaging. The challenge is in having the companies take them. For example, mushrooms grow to the size and shape of the container they are given to grow in - and they don’t press for more until they need it.

One thing we can all do is to call the phone numbers on the packages of products and ask the manufacturer to encourage seeking degradable materials for their packages. We don’t need more plastic which doesn’t degrade for a very long time. But we can call the companies and tell them we want degradable bottles and jars. The research can be done to make it happen.

I had retinal tears and learned that blue-block glasses are helpful when on the computer because blue light alone (which is what we get indoors and in increased quantity on the computer) are dehydrating. We need the balance of all colours of light for our bodies to keep fluids balanced within.
