These recharge LOCAL areas & watersheds and are NOT "mega-dams" - but make filtered, healthy water suitable for village scale food, forage and for nurseries and forest Regeneration opportunities.
My apologies for being asleep about important topics, of course. I understand this is not THE answer and creates its own problems. Where sand dams have been constructed in the past, migration to large urban areas is paused, livelihoods develop around once again productive village scale pursuits.

The most related part of what I do is community-building and change work through co-convening emergent hands-on action projects. I co-taught the “Foundations of Regeneration” course at Ubiquity U. I spent part of my past yelling ideological positions at other people, and no longer have an interest in such meetings. Not because it’s not true — we are nowhere without that depth of analysis — but because it has no transformative power. I’m interested in what we can envision and create together, and learn from each other. In my experience that mostly happens in small groups doing deep listening, and taken immediate next steps, step by step.
