...

11:04:01 From Diane Carol Mark to Everyone:

11:04:20 From AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Everyone:

I call it “Oh, my! cron”

11:05:34 From Diane Carol Mark to Everyone:

11:12:18 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

Actually you can lead from behind - something woman know a lot about. Great to see everyone back.

11:12:32 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

The link to yesterday’s presentation can be found here: ::https://othernetworks.org/HR!Day376::

11:14:42 From Ian Lewis to Everyone:

Actually - Thanks, Kathryn, when one leads in the mountains and on the oceans, one has to lead from the back. The important thing in leadership is to lead from where one needs to lead to lead... ;))

11:15:07 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

   Yes Ian - Thank you!

11:16:53 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Richard Buckley(Direct Message):

Thank you. Did you see my email about yesterday's YouTube video recording? It's not working fully.

11:17:29 From Ian Lewis to Everyone:

If in the afterchat, Kathryn, some great stories...:))

11:17:57 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

   Great!!!! Love to hear them.

11:18:45 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

If we get through this we will have lived bigger!

11:20:04 From Richard Buckley to Stanley Pokras Pokras(Direct Message):

Hi I did not see your message but I am aware of the problem. I thought another team member would fix it but  he does not get it. I will fix later today. Our artist has the day count wrong. TodayI believe  is 377. Does that sync with your day number?

11:20:14 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

Ian means God is gracious - not too bad…

11:21:44 From Diane SKIDMORE to Everyone:

   Brilliant addendum Ian.

11:22:42 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

Do-be-do-be-do… do we be or do we do? Truly, we be while we do… !

11:23:57 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Richard Buckley(Direct Message):

Yes, today is 377 and yesterday was 376. Jim even announced the wrong day number yesterday. But that's not so easy to fix.

11:26:02 From Leo Jacoby to Everyone:

::https://pt.slideshare.net/Ianspirational/humanity-rising-291221:: (Slides Ian shared during HR)

11:26:18 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

   Thank you, Leo!

11:26:21 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:

   Thanks ian

11:26:55 From Lesley Southwick-Trask to Everyone:

One of the contexts I feel we are missing is the reality being faced by marginalized people, particularly our youth who are living through an extinction event. Much of what is being shared feels that is based on the privilege we have (age, race, social status)

11:27:22 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Everyone:

Ian - yes DOing is where we need to go! And I've discovered an fantastic website, ::https://othernetworks.org/Participedia:: which is an encyclopedia of techniques for Doing things in groups.

11:28:53 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

Missing nurturing as a leadership quality

11:29:03 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:

@Leslie...thanks for expressing what was rummaging through my mind last night after the juice of yesterday's program.

11:29:54 From sarah klepner to Everyone:

Yes, @Lesley you raise an important point..must take into account the full range of circumstances humanity faces

11:30:10 From Joy Gilfilen to Everyone:

Thank you, Leslie..for bringing that to my attention.  I will speak to this...for it is essential and it is the point that I have been working towards.

Part of my passion yesterday, is that we have to get back down to the roots of it.

In the past, our teaching is that leaders are focused on domination, not on regeneration and revitalitzation.  I found that I have to start where we are...and yesterday's conversation was part of looking at leadership...from a bottoms up perspective.

11:31:33 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

I’m grateful for the different perspectives and the ability to share our views here in the chat. We see deeper and clearer, sharing our views.

11:31:46 From John L. German to Host and Panelists:

Sound level is weak -- can volume increase?

11:33:43 From Leo Jacoby to Everyone:

::https://johnmacmurray.org/:: A Scottish philosopher who gives priority to ACTION versus thinking (Descartes' cogito ergo sum). "All meaningful knowledge is for the sake of action, and all meaningful action for the sake of friendship."

11:34:10 From Richard Buckley to John L. German, Host and Panelists:

Hi—Sound is good at our end at the broadcast end. You might be having an internet problem.

11:34:29 From Lesley Southwick-Trask to Everyone:

Thanks Joy. I resonated deeply to your concluding remarks yesterday. Our work with Girl Driven Solutions - the SDG Makeover (HR’s Women’s Summit) has revealed that depth and rawness of female marginalization. Would love to talk to you and anyone else in this chat about how we are embracing this.

11:35:26 From Joy Gilfilen to Everyone:

   Would love that Lesley...

11:37:32 From Lesley Southwick-Trask to Everyone:

   Yay. l.southwicktrask@ubiquityuniversity.org

11:39:28 From Sarita Patel to Host and Panelists:

@Lesley - yes. I agree. Hearing Joy on the heels of so many- felt like the break in permission to speak and be heard at the heart level. No matter how evolved and purposeful I feel the day before yesterday- there was another breakthrough and knowing there are changemakers who are ready to have the sounds of nature in humans emerge.

11:40:15 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:

@Joy and @Lesley --- anticipating the outcome of your conversations!

11:40:30 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

Intention is the lesson Humanity is learning, along with love - finding the power of loving intention is the goal, imho.

11:44:30 From Sarita Patel to Everyone:

I work with many of the awesome $ people in my research project over the past 6 years.   I was fortunate enough to have 3 benevolent leaders who did spread $ for good - while helping people manage the resources.

11:45:09 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

11:47:43 From Sarita Patel to Everyone:

@Shannon. The website is geared towards more Asian design due to their sponsorship - so it’s not our typical style…. Do as the Romans do while in Rome to a degree.

11:51:58 From John L. German to Host and Panelists:

Her sound level is much higher volume than his -- need user volume control.

11:52:24 From David Storey to Everyone:

This is not just for Paul Magid, but for those at HR376 yesterday and those attending today.   It is a response to Paul Magid on his rejection of Jesus as the Messiah not only for the Jews, but for all humanity.  For other religions, Avatar or Prophet might be more appropriate.  Jesus never claimed divinity, others did it for him.  His essential commandment, as it is in Jewish scripture, was to love God and everyone else.  He died because of his apparent challenges to the two domination systems operating in Judea, the Temple authorities in Jerusalem and the Roman Empire.  Few understood him, with the result that his teaching has been misrepresented and abused.   Paul (Saul) of the Christian Testament was influenced by being a Roman Citizen and familiar with Greek and Roman religions and philosophies.  We have to use that understanding to discover the real message of Jesus.   Christians need to share their understanding of the the effect of Paul and Constantine, other rulers including Popes,

11:52:52 From Jane Norton to Everyone:

it's also about learning from marginalized people and not going in with a missionary mindset

11:53:29 From Charles Bensinger to Everyone:

A contributing cause to the incarceration problem is extreme, endemic stress. Consider that 100,000 people died from opioids in 2021. Mental health problems cost the US $600B annually!. That’s B for billions!

11:53:45 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:

Great discussion today - thank you for all of it and esp. your for this comment about leadership and potential. It is a wonderful opportunity. Appreciate you both! Off to work - hugs all!!

11:54:31 From Sarita Patel to Everyone:

I’d love to introduce anyone to Michael Pritchard who works with restorative justice in Marin and all over. He uses comedy and faith and doing

   ::https://www.michaelpritchard.com::

11:55:10 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

Thank Joy for showcasing your own process. Moving from the anger at people and then using that energy to bring things back to making it better!!!

11:55:19 From Kathryn Alexander, MA (joined via macro.io-) to Everyone:

   True leadership IMO

11:56:37 From Charles Bensinger to Everyone:

A recent global study reported that one in five young people feel that humanity is doomed.

11:56:49 From sarah klepner to Everyone:

   Glad to see the Elders!

11:57:56 From Julian Wong to Everyone:

@DavidStorey - where can one learn more about what you are saying about the misunderstanding of Christian scripture?

11:58:09 From Rev. Barbara Leger to Host and Panelists:

We created the 8th TEEN COURT in the country in 1988 and as a member org of the county justice system and recividism went from 75% to 20%

And is was based on restorative justice model and

WOW now we are I intending the transformation of the mindset and resilience of the country of Ukraine by bringing ‘The Understanding PEACE Project’ To the public school system bringing universal principles and personal values building an inner resilience compass to support their inner GPS

11:58:42 From Sarita Patel to Everyone:

Ian is truth with the balance sheets organized and joy with the skill set of talking with all people in the scaffolding. Running a summer camp is one of the best ways of running a Hugh level organization. You have to wear all the hats !

11:59:09 From Rev. Barbara Leger to Host and Panelists:

   Yes Sarita

11:59:54 From Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Host and Panelists:

How and when will I be coming on?

12:00:16 From Charles Bensinger to Everyone:

Greta Thunberg may have a rather dim view of global elders.

12:00:27 From David Storey to Everyone:

Continuing my  message:   who have misused their position to manipulate what people believe and practice (religion and politics).  We must sympathize with all who have suffered as a result of such misunderstandings and its effects.  Each generation needs  renewal and reform.  Sent with Love, David

12:00:32 From Ian Lewis to Everyone:

   Ooooooh Yes, Sarita1

12:01:05 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

Greta needs Elders too. She deserves them, and to realize the value that hides under the programming. So do we…

I’d love to share my templates working at Lucasfilm at the time I was 23 and leaving at 52. I got to see every element of so many businesses - including having an office in a home which meant managing kids, pets, construction projects, city officials, accountants, investments, ALL of it. Being in service allowed me to constantly pour into the community while showing the big boss- it would not affect his wallet but would affect his environment. 🙏🏼

12:04:56 From David Storey to Everyone:

Developing and applying quality values is vitally important for all levels of society.

The Living Values Education Program: The first two Values instructed are Love and Peace.  All the other Values are generated from these.

This program, ::http://LivingValues.net:: that has over 90% reduction in violence in a Thai Refugee Camp within 2 years! The woman who developed it then went to Johannesburg, RSA and designed a program for street people - similar results!

   For the philosophically inclined...

Intention, intentional action, and the connections between them are central topics of the philosophy of action, a branch of the philosophy of mind.

12:24:08 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

An “over-filled life” - this is what people with money may feel… having to service/honour all the things they have. Offering them an easy(er) path, with the security of living within the garden that feeds them, should enable them to choose differently. We need to create the Gardens, imho.
