Ian Lewis is the featured speaker today and will be discussing with Joy Gilfilen how we can be celebrating all kinds of groups doing productive work in the world; work that is aligned and enlightened, illustrating how the Intentional Change philosophies naturally manifest when you learn to see them in action.
What does productive civic leadership look like in the 21st century? Ian will go into more depth about some of the projects and people he knows around the globe who are working at different levels and in different styles...yet all united by the common vision of improving our future.
- Developing Local Vision is based in the Apuseni Mountains of Romania.
- Based in the United Kingdom, Ian works with Parliament to evolve national laws.
- Spread over 60+ countries, a global values movement is currently informing our collective visions naturally, which invariably creates compound ripple effects.
Let’s bring in diversity to spotlight the power of social, economic and civically involved people and groups who are doing energetic revitalization in their own worlds. Ian can then illustrate how core operating principles followed by well-aligned small moves can create pods of people working together to create the collective waveform that invariably spills over and compels larger movements.
Our goal is to celebrate all kinds of groups doing productive work in the world who naturally have the roots of the Intentional Change philosophies embedded inside their DNA. By seeing each in its own diversity, it brings conscious awareness to how combining forces are developing synergy, and synergy creates quantum leaps of potential.
Humans already have a united nature that mimics what we understand about the nervous system, and given a chance, we can have fun learning by doing. Ian’s motto is “jump, fall, fly” for he has discovered how healthy risk takers learn to assess and triangulate new opportunities for adventure, and this capacity mitigates problems before they even exist. The key is being able to see clearly in the creative field of WE ALL.

- Ian Lewis is active with communities, organisations and parliaments around the world, currently Romania, Japan, France, UK, Bulgaria, Poland, New Zealand, Costa Rica. Ian’s Geneva level work with the UN/UNESCO/International Association for Human Values is published in ‘Living Values and Right Living’ is part of the ‘Living Values Education’ movement. It links to the Royal Society for Arts Manufacturing and Commerce, the World Cetacean Alliance, and various LifeCollege.org communities. By working through post-graduate education programmes globally, Ian is using experiential learning with intentional affective leadership. He invites people into experiences that inspire the kind of learning that in turn compels the inner divine intelligence to manifest into another level of global responsibility.
- Joy Gilfilen is a civic leader, living systems researcher and the podcast host of JoyTalk and iChange Justice. Joy presented Humanity Rising #301 - Standing Up with Power. As President of the Restorative CommUnity Coalition since 2010, she is implementing a turnaround in the local jail and justice system by doing research, debating change publicly and using regenerative economics. As an enterprise coach for decades, Joy has created the Civic Joy Academy to inspire civic leadership and to teach the Intentional Change Philosophies together with the tools and methods that support enterprising people in making change.
