...

15:06:56 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Everyone:

Welcome to the second Session on Day 366 of Humanity Rising: Man in relation to the World.

15:10:15 From Michael Burns to Everyone:

   thanks Stanley, good work

15:26:48 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:

Thank you for your healthy anger, directed toward healing, Phil.

15:27:07 From Mary Anne Reilly to Everyone:

   Agree. Thank you.

15:32:41 From Chief Phil Lane to Everyone:

   .Passion, not anger.

15:33:27 From Aida to Everyone:

How do you differentiate passion and anger. Sometimes they look the same to me

15:34:39 From Michael Burns to Everyone:

passion not anger very important distinction, thank you Phil. I married a passionate woman, not an angry woman, to compliment my style of serenity

15:35:37 From Chief Phil Lane to Everyone:

The person who is sharing, would be the best to differentiate what they are feeling.

15:47:40 From dmytro petrushchak to Everyone:

We should somehow keep media accountable for information they convey to the public which is mostly damaging ...

15:56:32 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Everyone:

Dmytro, the problem with the media is that it is owned by the same people who are messing up our lives and the world. They want discord not peace. They want the people to support a large military budget, and police forces and prisons that have lots of prisoners since they get paid by the number of inmates.

15:59:20 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:

Rick, can you set me up to copy the chat?

16:03:05 From Robert Funkhouser to Everyone:

We need to move from "enlightened self-interest" to "enlightened common-interest" and better understand that how everything is connected -- all things ARE connected.

16:03:43 From Mary Anne Reilly to Everyone:

Thank you, George Re: the burden. Most of the women I know are exhausted by men's expectations of them re: caregiving on multiple levels.

16:03:44 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:

   Thank you.

16:04:59 From Stanley Pokras to Everyone:

16:11:50 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:

A potential model to learn  from is THE HAUDENOSAUNEE CONFEDERACY.

16:12:30 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:

Called the Iroquois Confederacy by the French, and the League of Five Nations by the English, the confederacy is properly called the Haudenosaunee Confederacy meaning People of the long house. The confederacy was founded by the prophet known as the Peacemaker with the help of Aionwatha, more commonly known as Hiawatha. The exact date of the joining of the nations is unknown and said to be time immemorial making it one of the first and longest lasting participatory democracies in the world.

The confederacy, made up of the Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, and Senecas was intended as a way to unite the nations and create a peaceful means of decision making. Through the confederacy, each of the nations of the Haudenosaunee are united by a common goal to live in harmony. Each nation maintains it own council with Chiefs chosen by the Clan Mother and deals with its own internal affairs but allows the Grand Council to deal with issues affecting the nations within the confederacy.

   ::http://www.wisedemocracy.org::

We offer social innovations to help "We the People" solve impossible-seeming public issues and spark "wise democracy".

In 1990, Jim Rough began teaching seminars on “Dynamic Facilitation,” a way for people to face difficult issues, be creative together and come together in unity through shifts and breakthroughs. In the seminars, participants practice Dynamic Facilitation in small groups. Often, groups worked to solve impossible-seeming issues from society, like homelessness, wars, taxes, the education system, traffic, health care, environmental degradation, etc. Curiously, no matter what issue was chosen, these groups often experienced the same insight: that this problem is not caused by bad leadership or competitive human nature. More fundamentally, it is caused by our System, how we’ve chosen to organize ourselves.

16:29:00 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:

Thank you for your positive and optimistic vision!
