I am totally for your campaign, but don't think blocking the M25 is winning friends and influencing people.

I have served on a local sustainability commission for years; plus, having been involved in gaining college level certification in sustainability. But my chief concern is the dark money pouring into advertising and congressional campaigns by the American Petroleum Institute,, for example, that downplays the tipping point scenario. Also, local companies not willing to become green with their buildings as well as manufacturing practices. Ugh. Ideas? My final quest here is seeking a resolution by the City to declare the climate emergency in light of the news surrounding COP!

We must face the abyss, grieve, do something about it, let your heart break wide open, step into your courage and you then are in Purpose (teal consciousness according to Spiral Dynamics). The transition of humanity will happen because we will face a collective trauma. There is something about the ecological crisis where we can ignore it, but it will not ignore us. It is going to get us all eventually. It is baked into the science. Our children will go through it. Like with an addict, we are a deeply addicted and traumatized society. We have hit rock bottom. We are literally in the sixth mass extinction. Life on earth being killed off by us. We face that and then humanity does a step change to the next level in spiral dynamics to our purpose. We are witnessing this now. It is exciting but tense because we have not got any time.

Yes, there are going to be disruptions and tipping points etc no matter what, but we are still living so far from sustainable that if we begin to transition rapidly towards full sustainability we can limit much of the harm from doing things like regenerative agriculture, circular economy - eliminate waste, ending pollution, etc.
