Text of the Zoom Chat from Humanity Rising Day 236

...

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:09 AM)

Hello! We'll be buzzing around in a MindHive on Day 236. Another group working collective intelligence is CICOlab https://othernetworks.org/Collective_Intelligence_Collaboratory_%E2%80%94_CICOLAB

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:09 AM)

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:16 AM)

So many helpful people working quietly in the background on problem solving for our planet!! Amazing!! Impressive!!

Time to stand together and make links!! Exciting!!

Doreen Tanenbaum to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)

Global Brain-Peter Russel

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:18 AM)

Link to that please - AMAZING!!

So simple!! To share!!!

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)

LET'S FOCUS ON WHAT WE WANT! We'd love to have you collaborate with us in answering this query.

“What is the mystery of peace and justice, that if we were to discover and embrace, our realization of it would be faster and easier."

The VISION for the Peace LAB is Peace in Everything, Everything with Peace. When you have any ideas that could bring peace in any manner, anywhere, anytime, please apply it and then share it ~ with us too… When we take some responsibility for being the Peace where we are, we are then models for others to follow ~ the ripples begin with us!

Peace LAB

LABoratory ~ experiments, investigates, researches, and explorations, and some emergent design … ALSO

LAByrinth ~ one winding, irregular, peaceful path in and out!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)

I’m a wet blanket, that might all happen IF the warming planet can still produce enough food to feed us, IF we are not distracted by millions of people moving to get away from flooding and drought, IF….. This sounds a bit like an illusion to me.

Jeff Genung to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)

Yes, Stan, I got that announcement today too. synchronicity

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)

Insights from the strangest places and hope contributed from all of us. Have faith Kathryn - 'stuff' is happening. WE just all have to do our best and - it will be fine!! xxx

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:23 AM)

Perhaps, Diane. I’d feel better if I heard a bit of reality in the conversation…

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)

I understand. Yes xxx

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)

There is a power in setting intention and then the universe conspires to manifest the intentions.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)

True Alicia

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:25 AM)

and Kathryn, media magnifies the negative, so if you look at that,  you think that is the majority.  I believe it isnt

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:25 AM)

I heard a UK government type webinar earlier today that was fractionally inspiring (more so than usual) that helped restore my faith (fractionally)

A wobbly time at the moment I think (putting it down to the moon hahaha)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)

Alicia - no not media, just a deep understanding of the planet that is often quite ignored.

Diane, say more

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:27 AM)

How we do collaboration really matters. Wikipedia is amazing; algorithmic social media, much less so.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:27 AM)

Clubhouse is the best I’ve found to actualize the mind hive.

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)

Id like to be in Clubhouse, not sure how to, is it by invitation only?

Marilyn - Findhorn to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)

@Bruce - as curator of the Human Hive - of course I am intrigued with your Mind Hive - thanks so much for attracting such serendipity ... do you connect your work to Rupert Sheldrake's Morphogenic Field(s)?

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)

Alicia, yes and you have mohave an iPhone.

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)

I have a android

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)

Yes Clubhouse and The Glass Bead Game is a stimulating experience. Check out Michael Sillion on either. :)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)

It’s not on Android yet…

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)

I’d love to hear Bruce’s views on Taiwanese digital democracy!

Gard Jameson to Panelists and Attendees (11:31 AM)

What are the issues deserving of crowd /bee hive sourcing?

I would put in: genetic engineering?  Is there anyone bringing Collective Intelligence to this issue?

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:31 AM)

One way to get beyond Google for HyperComplexity is in understanding that Radical Collaboration means that lots (thousands) of sites each serving a relatively small community are each creating their own INDEX of OtherNetworks!

Thousands of indexes pointing to each other and cross-referenced.

Matchmaking is a key factor!!!

See the article about the Global Suggesting Box:

https://othernetworks.org/Idea_Husbandry:_Toward_a_Global_Suggestion_Box

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:32 AM)

Kathryn - Four people present; One person host. One - Kwasi Kwarteng (government minister); best person Andrew Barnett OBE, Note (copied and pasted) - "Brilliant – totally sensible!!! ‘Bring the public on board!! Encourage local authorities to encourage so from bottom up as well as top down – or vice versa!!"

Citizen Assemblies - spoken of more and more

Marilyn - Findhorn to Panelists and Attendees (11:32 AM)

So sorry to have to bi-locate - playing hookey on 2 other meetings - need to learn how to clone for the collective intelligences needed in Integral City ... will listen to the recording and/or return anon. thanks so much Jim, Bruce - really valuable session.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:32 AM)

Diane - nice!!!! I’ve been a proponent of City-wide visioning for decades. Few governments are willing to take the risk.

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

Cool!

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

Jim really needs to let go of the Trump bashing... the problems and the solutions are beyond him. he is possibly the best American president as he awakened the need for the population to rethink democracy.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

Well done Marilyn - we have to be bionic (and catch up with recordings later!!) So much going on!!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:35 AM)

And well said Rajinder!! Move on - Trump was a gift along with the pandemic!! Showed us what was happening!!

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:35 AM)

Indexes are powerful! Here is OtherNetwork's index of Humanity Rising: https://othernetworks.org/List_of_Humanity_Rising_Day_Pages

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:35 AM)

Rajinder, in the way a cancer informs the person that the body is sick and needs radical change.  Still I wouldn't go so far as thanking the cancer

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:35 AM)

Jim is a hero of convening... a true gardener of great ideas and people and more

@alecia, I would thank the cancer on my journey to healing

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (11:37 AM)

@rajinder....embrace the darkness

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:37 AM)

Alecia - strange to say but - I've spent many years being grateful for being asthmatic!! The only way it seems (worked on letting it go but - not to be hahaha) Indeed - thank the cancer/the illness

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

Ah Rajinder - I feel the same way - I would not trade my liver cancer experience for anything! Wonderful teacher.

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)

@alecia... embracing darkness is beaming light and so as they say out of darkness cometh light

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)

The Earth IS an Innovation Lab!!! yes!!

Jamen Shively to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)

It doesn’t matter how much money or how

smart you are, you have to take animals out of your fridge. Your mind will thank you

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

Hello James! Nice to see you here.

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:40 AM)

Spare time = Cognitive Surplus - See Clay Shirky https://othernetworks.org/Clay_Shirky_-_Here_Comes_Everybody

Jamen Shively to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

If you want to make a better world, take out animal exploitation

Jamen Shively to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)

I believe humans who are empathetic are more capable of solving the social problems

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)

jam boards, word clouds - Google JAMBOARD

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

Amazing to see you here Jamen. The animal conversation - more complex than meets the eye!!

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

I rather say you are going to have a heart attack ... slow down and smell the flowers 🌸

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

James! Great to see you here!!

Not sure if you remember me…I came into The Conversation at one point and I’d love to connect again and run some ideas by you

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:43 AM)

.

Level 2 social media is where the media is used to help "other" people

https://othernetworks.org/Idea:_Level_2_Social_Media

.

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:45 AM)

Introducing the "Social Argonaut"

The Argonauts (Ancient Greek: Ἀργοναῦται Argonautai) were a band of heroes in Greek mythology, who in the years before the Trojan War, around 1300 BC, accompanied Jason to Colchis in his quest to find the Golden Fleece.

       Definition of Argonauts from Wikipedia

The Social Argonaut could be any hero who uses their talent for being helpful to move society towards an era of Golden Peace

Social Argonauts could be defined as the "helpers" and "users" of Social Media Level 2. Their quest and adventure is using level 2 social media to be helpful to the people they are serving. They become heroes by making people's lives easier and social interactions more meaningful.

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)

a fool with a tool is still a tool with a fool...

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)

Very interesting!!

Doreen Tanenbaum to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

How can we take a resource library and reorganize it when new information and insights create new catagores without reformatting again?

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

Pardon me, I meant Jamen. @Jamen if you’re still here could you email me at forti.jennifer@gmail.com so I can pm you?

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

Here is MindHive’s website….https://mindhive.org/

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)

very interesting Bruce... the tech building blocks are important to build especially as its increasingly becoming a commodity for facilitation

good Jim.

masking the right question is the answer half resolved

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)

But in order to participate we have to create an account?

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

*making ... lol

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)

How do we create regenerative Peace for all on Mother Earth?

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Jim would loved to hear you circle back and upwards on humanity rising. do the SWOT thing and make your wish list

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Jen, how would you go beck to anything you did without an account? How would you have a lasting presence in a platform without an account??

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

Sure Kathryn, that was a silly question

And I just created one ;)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

What I find is the most difficult is not ideas, but the implementation and the personalities you have to navigate

Jen - not silly - lots of people hesitate to create ‘an account.’

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

Seaspiracy exposes a HUGH issue for humanity to survive. Anyone see this and see how MindHive can approach the issue?

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)

Take the word IF and make it WHEN! It brings reality faster!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)

Kurt - Seaspiracy????

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

@bruce, you should open source the mindhive... and reverse the business model

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

I saw Seaspiracy...horrifying!

Jim Garrison to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

Agree with Kurt. Seaspiracy is on Netflix and is a powerful documentary on what is happening to the oceans due to fishing trawlers and all of us eating fish. I haven’t been able to eat fish since I saw it. Very powerful.

Jamen Shively to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

Yes! Please watch Seaspiracy

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

I only eat fish fished by small fisherman....

Jamen Shively to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

https://www.seaspiracy.org/facts

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

Yes - the oceans are in such pain and are the life blood for so much of life in so many ways, so yes that is the kind of thinking I’d like to see being included in this type of discussion.

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

that goes for everything I consume, I try to never consume anything from any commercial, industrial complex

Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:02 PM)

It would be good if MindHive can move beyond sustainability to regeneration.

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

@stanley, open source the collaboration

Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

The coral reefs die for MANY reason, primarily because of overfishing.

Marco Elstermann to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

Of anyone thinks there is sustainable seafood of ANY KIND really needs to watch Seaspiracy!

Alecia Caine to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

how can MindHive help me create regenerative tourism in Italy?

rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Uber for collaboration and the shareholders are the users

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Stanley - perfect!!!

Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Wow! Where could we read Lindsey’s PhD??

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Absolutely Jim. It is all unfolding as it should be

Me to All panelists and other attendees (12:03 PM)

Duncan Work is someone who has been thinking about collaboration for a very long time... https://othernetworks.org/Trusted_Sharing

IMAGINE!

Music, Art, Food, and Play attract ALL people to come together. How may we have peace and plenty for all?  Here is a practical and fun way to start solving these issues… while enjoying COMMUNITY.

The annual World Fest is designed to create enjoyable times allowing one to forget the negative forces around our world, to mingle with different peoples, to allow sociological barriers to dissipate, and to learn dynamic ways for peace and thriving for ourselves and our planet, all the while bringing copious amounts of money to quality charities each year. Live streaming will allow for the world to participate as best they can and be inspired! Major and minor cities around the world participate on the same September Equinox weekend.
