OH Amy that is SUCH good news!!!! The need for copper is driving several really horrible mining sites. Alaska has been fighting for years.

My tree grows a long the river outside my home. I call her Lady Peace, she is a very old pine tree. Her message to me was that she was sorry for the loss of my Aussie. My Bleu died last year at 17, we have talked to this tree on our daily walk.

Yesterday listening to those aware of the bee 🐝 situation said that naturally giving bees need to old trees, dead tree trunks to create their hives snd we are removing them all, so they’re not finding places to create hives.

I had the privilege of trying to transplant little trees where large trees had burned down adjacent to our Boundary Waters Wilderness Area in northern Minnesota. What was so amazing is that the area in which the large trees had grown was actually all rock! Amazing how the trees had adapted.

This is mind boggling -- viewing trees as living beings. My thinking is shifted from calling trees as "things". Now I will view them as partners in the ecosystem. I sm keen to continue such conversations
