Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)
70,000 islands? Holy Archipelago, Robin!
Aida Merriweather to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)
In CROW AND WEASEL, Lopez(through the character of badger) says: “Remember only one thing,”says Badger. “The stories people tell have a way of taking care of them.If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away anywhere they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive. That is why we put these stories in each other’s memory. This is how people care for themselves.”
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:23 AM)
We must change our cities into gardens.
Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (11:23 AM)
What a curious life Barry Lopez lived!(?) His passion for Earthly beauty, his Fire from Heart...all his belongings go up in flames before he passes...curios
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:27 AM)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)
Yes Shannon!
Kurt Krueger to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)
Will this ppt. Be available to us to help the cause? This morning, I was just on a podcast with Pakistan about living in harmony with each other AND the planet. It would have been great to have a few Koranic quotes and some of these particular facts… We get to bring more peace to our planet and ourselves through the Peace LAB’s work and collaborating with you and others. OtherNetworks.org/Peace_LAB. Keep Loving. :)
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)
This IS a place where religions could really have an impact!!
franka to Panelists and Attendees (11:30 AM)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)
Question - If we live in cities and do not see nature - will we lose God?
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)
All ONE
David Pinto to Panelists and Attendees (11:45 AM)
Sharp question.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:45 AM)
Nature is God and we are part of Nature. We are the leading edge, the hem being turned on the tapestry of Time. in a poetic way of looking at it…
Bob Rees to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)
Robinson Jeffers "The Excesses of God"
Richard Buckley to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)
Nana Firman’s powerpoint will be available on our universe.org platform when we post the video of this session. We will also make it available to the aster chat group when we post. Thank you Nana.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)
thank you, Richard
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)
Do we see the air? Even in a city, maybe no obvious 'natural' sights but - nature is there. WE are nature (apart from other things/views/versions)
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)
free will is NOT a mistake; this is not a machine. Sorry, I must disagree. That is part of the breakdown of respect for our Great Mother.
Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)
Brahma
BY RALPH WALDO EMERSON
If the red slayer think he slays,
Or if the slain think he is slain,
They know not well the subtle ways
I keep, and pass, and turn again.
Far or forgot to me is near;
Shadow and sunlight are the same;
The vanished gods to me appear;
And one to me are shame and fame.
They reckon ill who leave me out;
When me they fly, I am the wings;
I am the doubter and the doubt,
I am the hymn the Brahmin sings.
The strong gods pine for my abode,
And pine in vain the sacred Seven;
But thou, meek lover of the good!
Find me, and turn thy back on heaven.
franka to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)
can someone put those principles into the chat?
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)
4 legs of drama: moderation, cleanliness, compassion, truthfulness, mercy?
Darma
Veronika Krejci to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
Kat: dharma not drama
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
compassion & mercy are the same, I believe
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
Right, forgive my typing…
Veronika Krejci to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
Kat: :)
Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:51 AM)
- ==========::
On the topic of world religion, and the concept of Dharma, I want to acknowledge my new Chat People friend Frank Tedesco.
- ==========::
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)
Kat, you are amazing!! Thank you for all you do…
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)
interesting typo... without the dharma the drama happens
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)
Stan, good spotlight!!
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)
So many similarities throughout all religions, it is striking that the actions of humanity are still not understood.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
it is through the Mother that we come together as the One we are.
we are not going down - we are Rising!!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
Rising to restore Her! We do adore Her!!
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
Yes and in this time we have been able to destroy mountains.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
good morning, Katherine
Carol Bennington to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
Thank you Gopal - very helpful.
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)
Thank You Gopal!!
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)
- 1 Be good a relative.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
Embedded in language - another reason why preserving language is SO important!!
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
We became distracted by a new god - science. That happened at the same time as the religions were splitting views on the meaning of God so that instead of uniting we became even more separated!! Now is the time to stand as one - (to un-derstand) united. We are nature. We are god!!
Doreen Tanenbaum to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
Prepare and support our children from conception forward!
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)
The Earth as GIFT
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)
So lovely to hear 'She'...….
Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)
There’s a reason it’s called “feminine intuition”...it transcends gender!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
When we do not listen to MOM, we suffer. Our greatest treasures are our grandchildren. I want my grandchildren to thrive. To live to learn the beauty given to us by God through our Great Mother.
Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
Every human being on planet Earth is rollicking in the Feminine principal...it’s on g to he RISE!
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
Every one of us must take personal responsibility for every move we make. And so we rise!! Yes!!
franka to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)
who is the WHO who keeps doing this? when you say „we“ do you, dear panelists, include yourselves?
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
The Earth talks all of the time - we only need to listen…
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
And, Franka. 'created by man' - does that include us? Again, each one of us has t do our best to rise above the troubles created by 'man' xxx
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
Grammas we are here to support our grand babies. I’ve a down syndrome great grandson. So many species are going Extinct right now. So many eco regions are being dramatically disrupted by domination and Xtraction.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
All genders have contributed ‘man’ alone did not do this…
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
The Earth includes the things that Humanity “makes” - like clocks - watch for patterns and allow the Earth to talk to you… it’s MOM!
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Happy for the time that indigenous are willing to share their wisdom!
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Thank God Mother Earth (ME) is stronger than 'man's arrogance' and 'political ways'
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
Yes, Diane, I love ME.
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
THAT is the question Franka. As Diane has said, "each one of us must take personal responsibility"
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
And thank goodness for indigenous wisdom. Maybe the listening is growing!
franka to Panelists and Attendees (12:06 PM)
... i asked the question about the „we“ because I’m afraid you panelists are preaching to the choir. how can your insights reach those people to whom your presentations could be news. and how could they really „get“ those insights?
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
Dear Franka, WE might be the choir, but we are not the only ones who will come to Humanity Rising - HR is a gateway, perhaps, and our job here is to support the connections.
Davidson Akhonya to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
@Franka, are you imply there is need for feedback?
David Pinto to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
I’ve tussled with this issue while listening, Franka.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:08 PM)
Love the little blue light - the blue pearl of my teaching!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
aho, Katherine.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
Franka - in the UK right now (although online/zoom so....) but a conference (3 weeks; we're halfway) - What Is; What If and What Next. Offered by Transition Towns (amazing) and working (with imagination) on how to reach the unreachable/how t spread the word. Will send you the link xxx
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
respect, love, courage, humility, truth, honesty, 7th? Circle
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
this is my prayer
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
Transition IS amazing!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
thank You
Carol Bennington to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
Thank you
KATHERINE AUGUSTINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Yes thank you all so very much!!
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Through our words, thoughts, and actions all the days of our lives....that is our responsibility.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
How do we transform the collective global politic(s) to these Truths ?
Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Right On Mother Gaia is a “Source not resource”!
Rachel Root to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Thank you all!!
franka to Panelists and Attendees (12:12 PM)
Davidson, feedback to the panelists? well, I guess if they would like to react to it, I’d be very grateful
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:12 PM)
Thank you Katherine. soo much wisdom, truth and heart in your presentation.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:13 PM)
I think our listening is often composed of Yes, but… the hearing is dismissed by our attachment to our own desire…
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:14 PM)
yes, Kathryn, listening is a learned skill
franka to Panelists and Attendees (12:14 PM)

franka to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
pleasure, Stan, the instigator and founder of our Afterchat community and space!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
DOESN’T HAVE TO BE!!
We can bring Nature into our Cities (or die)
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
Katherine - Nestle is hugely making that happen (drink water out of bottles and not the only one, true) but - that is why to join the link somewhere above. The sooner we join together - maybe first on water. Then on chopping trees/the Amazon. Then equaity
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)
I’d love to have Nana website to see her work.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:18 PM)
Yes Shannon - cities can (and must) be healthy!!
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (12:18 PM)
How does this play out in places like San Francisco- where the city dwellers are moving to the suburbs and building McMansions at rapid pace? So we have empty urban areas now and over populated land by structures.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Many blessings - thank you!!!
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Transition Towns is all about that healthy cities - loads of healthy cities. In fact, another link to come xxx
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Capitalism is out of alignment with indigenous economics naturally.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Sarita, we build gardens in the vacant places inside cities
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)
reuse the abandoned buildings as indoor communal gardens
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
Yes, times flowing fast now.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
Electric vehicles - still one vehicle per person - not so good!!
Doreen Tanenbaum to Panelists and Attendees (12:20 PM)
New film : “Warrior Woman” to see the politics against Native American people
KATHERINE AUGUSTINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
Yes. My opinion - it’s bigger than politics (though politics feeds from it) w large industry fossil fuel, nuclear, plastics. 100 companies create 71% of Carbon emissions (last I saw the #s). These companies are so large - need international regulatory changes, top down
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
I’m watching abandoned buildings sit empty - and the people who can make the change - aren’t invited into these spaces ans it all takes collaboration. Maybe Gopal can speak to this. I saw this in India in the 60s starting to fragment
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
Same as ew can't plant trees to replace ancient forests. Thank you Katherine
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:21 PM)
thank YOU, all of You. I am so grateful for all of you… COME TO THE AFTER-CHAT
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
we have been sent to our rooms this year to consider carefully what we are doing. Direction change, attitude shift? Chat action peeps what say you?
KATHERINE AUGUSTINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
Yes agree about the trees - new trees are great as an extra but they don’t replace the ancient large ones!
Thank you so so much!! Appreciate each of you!
Kurt Krueger to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
Please come to the AfterChat: ::https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81045613451?pwd=S1JxSE9WNzJQV2JKSXhhaFZ3Wng1UT09::
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (12:22 PM)
YES KATHERINE. IM also watching mature trees disappear
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:23 PM)
Kat - YES!!!!!!
Nana Firman to Panelists and Attendees (12:23 PM)
many thanks everyone
Lesley Southwick-Trask to Panelists and Attendees (12:24 PM)
Thank you Bob for weaving the powerful voices of Nana, Gopal, and Katherine. Deep gratitude for the directness and imperative of what was shared. I am unable to make the Afterchat- however I will connect with you.
RUthe Schoder-Ehri,Squaxin land to Panelists and Attendees (12:24 PM)
"enlightened intimacy with land"
May wild animals on Earth increase and be healthy and free .....
KATHERINE AUGUSTINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:27 PM)
Wow powerful - what a great excerpt - I am envisioning an enlightened intimacy in these universal patterns. Powerful. Thank you
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:27 PM)
How can we stand with the indigenous people’s in their fight for their sacred land in Arizona? We are planning a copper mine there - one of the largest in the world
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (12:27 PM)
Shannon- we are working on this in Oakland Ca Can’t get people moving in Marin yet.... but doesn’t mean I don’t keep trying. I’ve started a Real Estate fund and beginning to mimic what Uber wealthy have done to land grab. But to turn in reverse to help gardeners build gardens. We can’t look at our own financial security as disconnected from others anymore. Put the oxygen mask on first has gotten out of whack tilting towards delusional self protection
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:28 PM)
Thank you for this enlightened intimate with voice…Humanity Rising landscape grows deeper with each curve of curiosity…angels and saints celebrate our listening turning into individual action, undistracted, dedicated to hearing birds singing clearly again from all Earth curves. Repairing & replanting…!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:28 PM)
Thank you, Bob. very beautiful

KATHERINE AUGUSTINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:29 PM)
Me too, Jim. Amazing panelists always and the wisdom they share.
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:29 PM)

Yes thank you Katherine!
Sarita Patel to Panelists and Attendees (12:31 PM)
Boundaries are bondage. Starting with the man made lines on the maps
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:31 PM)
Man made boundaries are bondage - natures boundaries/limits and a loving container.
Jean Stevens to Panelists and Attendees (12:31 PM)
We must become like the birds and fly towards the truth.
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:32 PM)
Today is the Louisville anniversary…be aware of that region and please pray for peace there as they calibrate justice in this time form that place.
