Stanley Pokras (Me) to All panelists and other attendees (11:01 AM)
Yay!!! Day 180! Seeking a critical mass. Thank you Jim. And happy day to everyone with us now.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:02 AM)
You introduce this day with the same presence as if it was the first. Wonderful!
AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Panelists and Attendees (11:07 AM)
Hmmph, yes the electoral college (designed for slavery) went for Trump but the popular vote defeated him in 2016. Lest we forget.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:08 AM)
This is something from a series on Netflix, only so much more scary.
Mary Thorp to Panelists and Attendees (11:12 AM)
A colleague just told me the Russians paid a lot of money for the Taj Mahal Casino that Trump failed at so miserably. Many businesses, including a friend, lost lots of money as they supplied equipment without being paid. Many families were impacted by that whole process.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:15 AM)
so sorry to not have Vladimir here today. I was so looking forward to hearing his objective perspective.

So lovely to see you back, Cynthia! You are such an inspiration!
Jim Garrison to Panelists and Attendees (11:19 AM)
Here is the link to a talk by Vladimir Posner that is very illuminating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X7Ng75e5gQ&t=1006s
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)
its not a mindset its fact nato has been infringing on other countries soverignity.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)
It all comes down to respect, doesn’t it?
Diane Sue to Panelists and Attendees (11:25 AM)
It's so helpful to understand all perspectives. It opens up a path for true collaboration.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:25 AM)
@Diane: so true!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)
aho, Jim!!
Richard Buckley to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)
Best to put your questions in the chat.
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (11:27 AM)
Shannon, he talks about a belief system!
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:31 AM)
whats wrong with a leader wanting whats best for their people. If the people in every country thrive then and only then will international peace thrive. Do not expect that the people will be ignored and an outsider will come and enforce peace. Yes enforce Peace. It think each country needs to be left alone to learn how the common person can thrive.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)
Malini; I so agree.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)
post Jan 6, the US would have little impact to exporting democracy.. and as your speak 1789 in France resonates with USA as much if not more that Russian context
AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Panelists and Attendees (11:34 AM)
One might think of the Robespierre mob as boomeranging their trauma.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:34 AM)
+1
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:35 AM)
the swinging of the pendulum, seems to me
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:36 AM)
What is different this time is the collapse of everything, including the environment. How is that going to impact all of this angst?
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:36 AM)
the 1789 revolution was hijacked by the bourgeois (non noble elite) the revolution was not successful as wished and proposed by the Montagnards and the review of the 1789 constitution.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:37 AM)
Rajinder USA never exported democracy , it got into controlling countries around the world in the name of democracy and as long as the leaders were playing to their agenda USA said there was democracy in that country, and any time a country said no to the control of USA , they were declared as undemocratic. Perkins book on the economic hitman has blown the myth of American democracy, and what you saw on Jan 6 was the truth finally coming to ligh.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)
+1 malini
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)
Malini; yes.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)
Boris was looking for his alcohol fix..
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)
wow
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)
Amazing, Jim
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)
3 older women Russians are in my global virtual Rotary Club (one a former officer in the Russian Air Force). The two remaining living in Eastern Russia are full hearted Putin fans. Another elder Russian translator for NASA is apolitical. Decades ago a dear friend at the time worked on deals with Putin and reported that he skimmed off 15% of each one for Putin himself. I can not verify this, but have studied Russia believing it to be true for decades and have not yet found any evidence to refute its veracity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KVu_p7Xfl0 Recent reports show that Russians do not believe Putin is corrupt, but rather that Navalny is. https://www.dw.com/en/is-russia-distorting-gps-signals-to-protect-vladimir-putin/a-56484479 Intergenerational demands in Russia pressurizing political change. Intergenerational demands in USA pressurizing climate policy. Intergenerational demands may pull humanity from blinking out, if elders pay attention. Disruptions, distractions delay climate response.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)
Putin was appointed to protect Yeltsin - he was afraid of being killed for all the havoc he’d created.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)
Yes and its that supermarket economy that has caused environmental destruction, and climate change. Why don't we look at that . There are Mc donalds every were replacing local cusines with American burgers and French fries, and cocacola as free togo. Its time for Humanity rising to take a rality check on the nerative being promoted in 2021 if we want Peace on Earth.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)
the oligarchs called for Putin
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)
Malini; yes.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)
Malini; yes…
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:43 AM)
just like the oligarchs (big tech) in USA called for new American presidency. they showed their power by canceling the USA president official accounts, this is fascinating and to be remembered
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:43 AM)
The history of past regimes and past examples of difficult times along with the way we are managing our planet right now are all examples of what not to do. Kayleen Asbo (speaking after HR) explained how the pandemic stopped pretty much everything whilst giving us all the opportunity to not only examine our mistakes and how not to behave at the same time as the technology arriving that gave us the ability to a) know about each other and b) communicate (via zoom). Now, the beginning of a new year (one year on after 2020) is the time where the human race has the chance to create a new system. WE need a system that includes all beliefs whilst encouraging respect for others - people, planet and all life.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)
while in China, President XI cancelled Chinese bigtech jack ma
welcome to cancel culture and the redefinition of power in the 21st century
not all figures are measured in the economic calculations
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)
Yes cant wait to see how americans are going to respond to china shutting down citizen rights through intrusive mobile and internet technology. Talk about Russian blackout of posner. Just wait for china to show its true face.
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)
Russia has an oversized impact in the Arctic Council.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)
Russian economy - unable to grow? Not necessarily. That may have been their choice - to remain small. Unlimited growth is killing us!!!
Jim, can your panelists speak about NATO extensions (as you spoke about Ukraine)
You don't need nuclear war. Just wait for the permafrost in Russia to melt and release negatons of Methane into the atmosphere. So if we don't bring about change all this we hope to achieve is going to be a big Kaboom.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)
This is how compassion is generated. Understanding responsibility creates peace
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)
the most funny thing is we are all so stupid to think that an external enemy can help consolidate nation cohesion. we need peace now more than ever
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)
Thank you, I loved this Jim.
Eleanor LeCain to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)
Given that history, what can the US do NOW??
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)
Yes Kathryn
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)
Baba Amte said that those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.
AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
Let’s also remember that Russia historically has had very deep and complicated spirituality, spiritualism, ….an important dynamic.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)
What can the US do now? Change pretty much everything they do right now. Be conscious. Be considerate. Help other nations. Stop aiming at constant growth
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)
Amy- thankfully there is this deep spiritual Russian roots.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)
a common enemy does not create the peace we desire - we need a common goal… Peace on Earth is a valid goal… what path takes us there? It is a LAByrinth!!
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)
A Russian once told me, that in Russia only two things are respected the tsar and the winter. And that colours the Russian perspective.
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
Thank you Shannon!!
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
Brilliant Shannon
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)
How can we leverage the shared nuclear survival into a 21st Century love story for all living beings in EARTH?
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)
seek the entrance to the Peace LAByrinth at https://chataction.com/
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)
that memory of inhumanity of the atomic bomb
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)
And make the 21st Century the century of LOVE!!!
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)
First Americans of hundreds of tribes do have a visceral memory of genocide in North America.
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)
oh, well, the first nations had.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)
To understand what Peace means to you after listening to this session: https://chataction.org/peace-lab-surveys/
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
It is first our religion at all costs. Then it is our economic model at all costs. Finally its our definition of democracy at all costs.
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)
The Russians experienced the real betrayal of capitalism - one that has been pushed out for the US into other countries. Very painful
from
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)
Agree with Cynthia: you don't talk to ANY country like that. You don't talk to any country as if they are not good enough to be your friend.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)
respect is vital politically and individually
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)
Any country or any person.
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
How do we restore the trust on all fronts?
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
trees bring water up from where She’s collected it…
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)
We only need 1 Trillion trees? We can do that!
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
yes, we CAN
working together
Marcia Raff to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
I’m going to plant a bunch today!
No time to waste.
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
There are already more than 1 success story . You choose not to look at them or find them and acknowledge them. The media is so focused on chasing the bad instead of going around finding the good and showcase those stories.
rajinder to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
the American are most climate destructive than any other nation
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)
Jim Hickmans view on some of these matters?
Cindy Bledsoe to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
inverting the pyramid, putting the people of a place as the decision makers, helps cocreate common goals.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
turn away from finger pointing and look toward Mother Earth - She will help us if we help Her.
Kat Haber to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)
Cynthia there is a reason many of the Bering Islands have no trees-UBER Arctic winds! Good for all of your efforts. Together, we belong solutionizing.
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
trees may not grow tall, but their roots go deep
MALINI Rajendran to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
Yes watch how we are globally sharing the vaccine we have developed. https://youtu.be/7O7j5VX0ncs
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
Along with planting trees, we need to stop chopping down ancient forests. In the UK we say we're gonna plant trees whilst clearing sooooo much land. Hypocritical and not helpful at all
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)
yes, Diane. yes
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)
Cynthia thank you so much for your work and sharing it! Can you post a link to read about and connect to the projects you’re doing?
Marilyn Hamilton to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)
Cynthia, I am so inspired by your stories and experience - I am working thru Integral Cities with Russians in the association they call Living Cities Russia - they intend to change 1000 cities by 2030 - I have already seen they changed 300. So I agree let us find a collaborative win project. Would love to connect with you marilyn@integralcity.com
Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)
I love, Marilyn, the thought of you and Cynthia working together …such beauty and brilliance!
Kurt Krueger to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
Yay Marilyn - brig in China as well. They have done some remarkable things with new cities, as well.
Marilyn Hamilton to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
@Jim H & G - the Russians did a parallel HR summit in summer 2020 that attracted 17000 Russians (both in Russia and diaspora), 430 cities, 40+ countries - the Russians do want to change - how can we support them thru collaboration, meditation (I am offering to hold subtle activism for Russia Feb. 16 from here at Findhorn Scotland where I live)
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)
Absolutely Jim H. A new kind of civilisation. Let's focus on the solutions - we've heard the history. Time to move on!!
Esbjörnsdotter Barbro to Panelists and Attendees (12:11 PM)

Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:14 PM)
The tragedy is that the US wants conflict for the economics of the war machine
Jane to Panelists and Attendees (12:15 PM)
Trust is sorely missing which is leading to continued separation.
AMY A BLUMENSHINE to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
Not brain dead — just addicted to domination
Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
Magical article in the Times about what citizens did to ensure a fair election in the US points to the major role WE can play in these changing times.
Kala to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
Thank you Jim - yes, it’s citizen diplomacy era
Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)
