As an attorney (not involved with legislature but maybe knowing enough to be dangerous), some of this seems to be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Perhaps what you mean by regionally & locally though is the key. There are laws on so many levels already that actually do serve; perhaps a review of laws versus trying to start from scratch (if this is the idea). Understand high level impositions need to be questioned, but not thinking we want to reinvent the wheel. Keep in mind, many people in the communities disagree and there may not be simple answers. Law making is not necessarily an easy task! Even small “intentional communities” can find it hard to agree. I’m not saying the current governance systems don’t need to be assessed, in particular corporate power (in conjunction with governance) is an area to be considered for review. But AND at the lowest / local / regional levels this still can include tough conversations; how are decisions going to be made? Believe both process & system are essential.

A while back Peter used the word “agreements.” Laws, bylaws, are all documented agreements we have with each other. A code of conduct we expect of each other, including consequences of not adhering to those agreements. The deeper subject here is about revising our agreements with each other. Some will continue working, while others will need to be released for something new. (And throw in the mix our different life conditions and value systems…)

Have used the SynCon exercise for cocreation and comes to mind as a valuable tool. What do we want to preserve...create...and change? Helps to synergize unlikely connections that need each other for new solutions.
Propaganda wars. It is also fueled by bringing up young people without the skill of critical thinking…that is to ask question after question that ultimately shows that the ‘propaganda’ is just that. It’s also fueled by food poisoning…glyphosate that has caused challenges for people to think critically.
