Celebrating Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty "Entry into Force Day"
This special session of Humanity Rising on January 22, 2021 will celebrate this historic day the landmark United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) enters into force.
Leaders in the campaign for the TPNW will explore the significance of its entry into force, a pathway forward for the treaty, the challenges, opportunities and stakes in a world where many top experts say we are at a greater risk of a nuclear catastrophe today than at any time in history. They will call us to action, offering strategies and steps we can take to advance the ratification of the TPNW by all countries, including campaigns we can join, collaborate with and support to build the global movement to abolish nuclear weapons already underway.
