Bringing compassion into society at scale is humanity's next big challenge. How do we do so in a Capitalistic framework? Are Compassion and Capitalism at odds? The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) were identified, a small team of people quickly recognized that they could not be achieved without Inner Development Goals(IDGs) also being achieved. Compassion has an essential role to play in achieving the IDGs and the SDGs. --- The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Lily Swanbrow Becker

Lily Becker is a facilitator, capacity-builder, and connection weaver passionate about helping human and natural communities confront and adapt to an uncertain future. She finds meaning in working to support the people and organizations working to address the climate crisis and build a resilient future.

She has nearly a decade of experience working on climate change with a focus on strategic planning, coalition and network building, professional development and training, and building psychological resilience to confront ecological grief and anxiety.

Father Joshtrom Kureethadam

Fr. Joshstrom Kureethadam is Chair of Philosophy of Science and Director of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome. He is also a consultant to the Vatican and previously served as Coordinator of the Sector of “Ecology” at the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.

He has been particularly associated with the study and diffusion of Laudato Si; Pope Francis’ Encyclical Letter on Care for Our Common Home.

Some of his publications include “Creation in Crisis: Science, Ethics and Theology” (Orbis Books 2014), “The Philosophical Roots of the Ecological Crisis” (Cambridge Scholars, 2017), “The Ten Green Commandments of Laudato Si (Liturgical Press 2019).

Charlie Hartwell

Charlie Hartwell is the Managing Director of Bridge Builders Collaborative. Charlie is a change agent who shepherds ideas, resources and talent to drive sustainable growth. Passionate about transformation and innovation; he is a leader who ignites teams to accomplish remarkable results. He is a Harvard Business School graduate who has led, founded, run and worked in organizations in 16 different industries. He’s served in various organizations including corporate, small business, start-up, non-profit – and in leadership roles such as President, Chairman, board member, founder, consultant, coach, and trustee.

Eddy Vaisberg

Eddy is an entrepreneur and investor focussed on building scalable mental wellness infrastructure. Eddy runs MindEd Ventures, a micro-VC-fund that has a hands-on approach of working with founders on fundraising, strategy and growth. The fund has deployed $650k of capital across 15 early stage deals in less than 18 months. As an entrepreneur, Eddy is on the founding team of multiple start-ups that have raised $20M+ in funding. He spent 6-years building VC-backed start-ups in East Africa and earlier this year moved back to the US to focus on building ventures in the mental wellness space. To build his entrepreneurial intuition, he spent 6-months shadowing CEOs of 15 fast growing start-ups from pre-seed to post-IPO across Africa, Europe and the US. This has given him a unique insight into what it takes to scale start ups.

Faya Sahai

Faye Sahai is celebrated as an innovation growth leader, having overseen change catalyst and strategic initiatives across multiple companies such as AIG, Blue Shield, Deloitte, Charles Schwab, and Kaiser Permanente. She served as the AIG Global Head of Advanced Technology, Innovation, Employee Experience. She is also AIG Executive Advisor of Global Women in Technology and UP Upward Professionals and nominated for Women Executive Leaders Initiative, and Global Inclusion and Diversity Task Force. She was one of founding members and leaders for Kaiser Permanente Women in Technology (WIT) and Women Embracing Life and Leadership (WELL).

Monica Worline, Ph.D.

Monica Worline is the author of Awakening Compassion at Work and founder and CEO of EnlivenWork, a social innovation organization dedicated to creating communities, ideas, and practices that bring humanity alive at work. Monica is an organizational psychologist whose work is dedicated to cultivating courageous thinking, compassionate leadership, and an environment that brings people's best work to life.

Monica is an award-winning teacher and interdisciplinary scholar who currently serves as an affiliate faculty at the Center for Positive Organizations at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business as well as a collaborating research scientist at Stanford University's Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education.
