   My guess is that it bonds with the free radicals that are roaming around blood freely and neutralize them, pulls out the toxins from the fat cells and pulls out the heavy metals that may be impeding some of this process.  By pulling out the toxins out of the fat cells the fat melts off.  This sounds like nion (however you spell this) works in the same way as zeolite that then expels out the body 90% out the urine and 10% out the feces.  It may be a relative if nothing else.
