   Yes, Jude. I was thinking of the strong loving communities that resulted, partly, because of the trauma of being Black in America and, mostly, because of the awareness of the love of the Creator.

   At 75, I’m dealing with exactly this issue that was left out in the parenting of me & my sisters & my parenting of 3 40-yr-old young adults. We went to church but the dysfunction in our lineage was bigger than was being dealt with.  Continued work to do.

   My question is that since religion was used to control both white and black but now that we have our freedom and especially Blacks and Mayans (where I live), why do they still embrace Christianity?  Why not go back to their original?
