Good question, Kat. I also wonder what other plants naturally grow with them? Planing trees is not creating forest. This feels like a bandaid.

The Empress Splendor, and certainly the varieties we plant are not invasive in any way. We have over 300 farms covering 5000 acres and not a single tree is out of place. Scientific literature confirms this. In addition, we always tell everyone that World Tree is not replacing the need to reforest the planet. What we are doing is protecting native forests from logging by providing a truly sustainable and regenerative lumber source. Our trees consume large amounts of carbon during growth and then the carbon is sequestered in long lasting high value products - furniture, instruments, paneling, cabinets, etc. All while protecting native forests from logging.

World Tree doesn't do any monoculture on a large scale. It's true that some of our smaller farms (10-20 acres) just plant Empress trees. But virtually all of our larger farms all intercrop or create silvopasture operations.

Raise Hemp for humanity and planet.
infohemp.com It has 25K uses including better battery conductor than lithium or graphene, all the 22 amino acids perfect protein, paper used to print US first Treasury Notes,, first Levi jeans antimichrobial fabric Cherokee women used for undergarments... a pair of jeans today takes 25K gallons to makes... Yiiiiiikes… less water than cotton.. two crops a year... so simple to restore. HEMP is bestest biofuel… can we please restore some sense of Commonsense-ability that almost extinct language on this ole Pachamama...
Gardening › how-hemp-helps-restore-soil-fertility. It also prevents weeds from growing near it. Its deep roots help to hold the soil together and prevent soil erosion while absorbing water like a sponge for the groundwater. The stem and leaves of the hemp plant can be returned to the soil to rejuvenate the soil, leading to a richer crop the following year. Indeed, hemp is a super plant when it comes to its environmentally friendly properties.

Farmer-managed natural regeneration (FMNR) is a low-cost, sustainable land restoration technique used to combat poverty and hunger amongst poor subsistence farmers in developing countries by increasing food and timber production, and resilience to climate extremes.[1] It involves the systematic regeneration and management of trees and shrubs from tree stumps, roots and seeds.[2][3] FMNR was developed by the Australian agricultural economist Tony Rinaudo in the 1980s in West Africa. The background and development are described in Rinaudo's book The Forest Underground.

Keep spreading the Love. “You do not have to obtain Love from outside by difficult practices. Its springs lie within. Let your heart overflow with Love. Let your Love be all encompassing. If you continue to live Love, more of it will be released within. The more you give, the more you will have. He who gives Love is greeted everywhere by Love.” ~ Muktananda
12:29:59 From Robert Hayes to Everyone:
FMNR complements the evergreen agriculture,[6] conservation agriculture and agroforestry movements. It is considered a good entry point for resource-poor and risk-averse farmers to adopt a low-cost and low-risk technique. This in turn has acted as a stepping stone to greater agricultural intensification as farmers become more receptive to new ideas.

11:40:27 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
Would this be considered an invasive tree? Decades ago certain trees were brought to Hawaii to help reforest and have clouded out the indigenous species.
11:41:07 From Diane. to Everyone:
I wondered that Kat too!! Long term effects?
11:41:47 From Sue Lennox - OzGREEN to Host and Panelists:

Hi Jim, We have created a free educational program entitled Wake Up World, A Curriculum on the Climate Crisis for Faith and Community Groups. Our email is wakeupworld.earth@gmail.com and our website is www.wakeupworld.earth
11:43:40 From Kathryn Alexander, MA to Everyone:
Good question, Kat. I also wonder what other plants naturally grow with them? Planing trees is not creating forest. This feels like a bandaid.
11:44:45 From Charry Stover to Everyone:
What TLC is needed??
11:44:46 From Diane. to Everyone:
That's the biggest issue here (my area) - planting is easy. Long-term care is harder!!!
11:45:10 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
I am wondering if they grow in all conditions - places with the winter season?
11:45:58 From Dan Balcaban to Everyone:
I heard something about there being so many male trees planted in Los Angeles not in their natural habitat, which has caused many issues, with sinuses. is this true?
11:45:59 From Janice1 to Everyone:
we want it to come from hemp
11:46:04 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:

11:47:18 From Diane. to Everyone:
Ooooh!! Nest under tree!!
11:47:44 From anita dygert-gearheart to Host and Panelists:
thank you Diane. Have sent a message.
11:47:49 From Doug Willmore to Everyone:
11:47:57 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
Monocrops are more vulnerable to disease. How are you mitigating this?
11:48:09 From anita dygert-gearheart to Everyone:

11:49:39 From Doug Willmore to Everyone:
