As horrific as the Residential School experience was, forgiveness allows that burden to be laid down by all. I’m grateful that we have this week to seek peace within and between us.

First, forgiveness leads to healing - not the other way around. Here's my QUESTION: Indeed, we US citizens are "living in a dynamic sea of opposites!" While I am infinitely grateful for our legal system, how do we forgive the serious dangers of allowing a convicted felon (fraudster, abuser, cheater, and liar) to run for the highest leadership position in the world? 💚🙏😇
11:17:18 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
having perspective to other people's up bringing and cause and effect really helps understand people's actions and helps us forgive easier, and yes when one does self healing you begin to forgive automatically. LOVE is the key , unconditional Love , Love that is beyond our individual experience

Question & Comment: I’m curious if Eileen’s & Fred’s journeys ever crossed paths with a friend of mine, Robin Casarjian, Founder & CEO of Lionheart Foundation. She wrote a book in 1992 called “Forgiveness: A Bold Choice for a Peaceful Heart”. Robin also created a program for those incarcerated, centered around forgiveness & viewing prisons as “houses of healing”. She also wrote a book titled “Houses of Healing: A Prisoner’s Guide to Inner Power and Freedom”. Comment: In my view, the flip side of forgiveness is playing the game of “blaming the victim” (focused on self or the “other”). The author of the book, “Blaming The Victim”, Bill Ryan, happen to be one of my teachers in graduate school.

APPRECIATING EVERYONES COMMENTS! Buddhism teaches "Life is suffering" And LOSS happens. And humans do HARM, All three of these domains require forgiveness. We humans need to model, teach, and mentor our SOVEREIGNTY, SELF ESTEEM, SELF LOVE, and ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY. WE need to CENTER ALL OUR EDUCATION AROUND TEACHING KINDNESS, SELF ESTEEM, COOPERATION, FORGIVENESS& COMPASSION FOR SELF & OTHERS. 💚🙏🌍 THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS RICH DISCUSSION!

Have you seen what Dr. Bruce Lipton says about repatterning before 6 years old when we are just running on our subconscious in Delta and Theta? We are strictly recording everything and can misinterpret with our baby brain and we become that as the subconscious is running the show. You can't yell at a tape recorder "Edit" You have to go back where you laid those tracts and write over it. We don't come into our conscious mind until alpha and beta work into the body around 6-7. His favorite is Psych-K. I think the codes may be also write over the messages

I think we sometimes get stuck because of repeated incidents that make us re-experience and be re-traumatised. (Like in abusive relationships) As a South African, I find that racist experiences repeated, generates anger - internally and out. As much as we all hope for truth, healing then reconciliation, the repeat and perpetuation of the racist behaviour is exhausting and makes it more difficult to keep forgiving and moving on.

Some years ago 3 friends from childhood met up, not having met for more than 50 years. We naturally reminisced and realised how happy our childhood had been. As we looked back, problems were sorted out in our families without any distress. And we all were conscious that although LOVE was never discussed, we were not hugged and told we were loved, there was no reason to question, it just never came up. We were left feeling very grateful, because we had heard so many stories of childhood misery.

Everyone wants the best for our families. When we focus on commonalities we help more people. We know that our best chance is through dialogue. This has been proven to work in so many fields. It will also work in the political arena when using mediation practices. Let the proof be found in the pudding!
We have some incredible news! A number Thursdays ago, U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-DE) and Todd Young (R-IN) introduced the Building Civic Bridges Act (BCBA) in the Senate. "Our bipartisan bill will help bring Americans together to engage respectfully and constructively, promoting positive conversation and greater unity across the nation."
12:19:04 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
best zoom meeting ever! , thanks Eileen and Fres for speaking today
12:19:15 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:
The BCBA is now in both legislative chambers. Meaning it is now more important than ever to spread the word about the BCBA, and to urge your Congressional Representatives - in both the Senate and the House - to pass this vital piece of legislation.

Calling in from the former homeland of Nuche in Western Colorado. acknowledging today as Orange Shirt Day remembering the indigenous children lost in the boarding schools on Turtle Island. https://mps.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/News/Orange-Shirt-Day--Monday-September-30--recognizes-impact-of-Indian-boarding-schools-.htm
11:10:22 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
As horrific as the Residential School experience was, forgiveness allows that burden to be laid down by all. I’m grateful that we have this week to seek peace within and between us.
11:12:12 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
Does anyone know the book by Colin Tippings called Radical Forgiveness?
11:12:22 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
forgiveness is the release of the pain and resentment trapped in one's soul, it's healing and freeing
11:13:07 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Long Walk to Freedom: https://www.blinkist.com/en/books/long-walk-to-freedom-en
11:13:08 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
Yes Nadalee, it is my experience that forgiveness is automatic when healing happens
11:13:27 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
Healing = Forgiveness
11:14:16 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Maureen, Radical Forgiveness looks good - https://radicalforgiveness.org/
11:17:14 From Kim Kerrigan to Everyone:
11:17:47 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
YES Nadalee
11:18:40 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:

11:18:54 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Ooo, that’s pretty, Nadalee!
11:19:08 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
Beautifully expressed!!! I like that Nadalee
11:19:22 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
thanks 😊 🫂 🙏
11:20:54 From anne de Lovinfosse to Everyone:
It makes sense of a lack of interest of psy, lawyers etc in forgiveness….There is no more traditional job at the time..except to leave the victim, rescuer, perpetrator triangle….!
11:20:55 From Kim Kerrigan to Everyone:
Thank you Fred - for your authentic personal sharing - and astute clinical overview of the shortcomings of the modern field of psychology! And amazing story about the Clinton's debacle!
11:21:51 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
we need rehabilitation centers not prisons , and if they can't or won't be healed then put them on their own island and see if they begin to start working together
11:22:41 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
For giving to ourselves
11:22:44 From Kim Kerrigan to Everyone:
Thank you Eileen for your visionary courage and good work bridging conflict resolution, our legal system and forgiveness! DEEPLY APPRECIATED! 🌍💚🙏
11:22:53 From Dr. Carroy (Cuf) Ferguson to Everyone:
Question & Comment: I’m curious if Eileen’s & Fred’s journeys ever crossed paths with a friend of mine, Robin Casarjian, Founder & CEO of Lionheart Foundation. She wrote a book in 1992 called “Forgiveness: A Bold Choice for a Peaceful Heart”. Robin also created a program for those incarcerated, centered around forgiveness & viewing prisons as “houses of healing”. She also wrote a book titled “Houses of Healing: A Prisoner’s Guide to Inner Power and Freedom”. Here are links: https://www.amazon.com/Houses-Healing-Prisoners-Guide-Freedom/dp/0964493306 and https://www.amazon.com/Forgiveness-Bold-Choice-Peaceful-Heart/dp/0553352369
11:24:43 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
if we don't forgive and heal we pass that pain and resentment down to our children ,so we must break the cycles
11:26:38 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
“I’m the creator of my story” offers us the power to give birth to ourselves.
11:26:46 From Fred Luskin to Dr. Carroy (Cuf) Ferguson, Host and Panelists:

I could own it as personal but learned it was also universal/common to being human.
11:37:33 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
dissolve judgment and have understanding, ego must be dissolved , we achieve that by releasing the idea of connection and how we are all part of a bigger consciousness

11:45:16 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Coming to grips with the grief for the future that is no longer possible is really important. Then you have to let go.
11:45:33 From Carol Sue Engleman to Everyone:
I didn't mean to send that because I accidentally lost the 1st half so this makes no sense and I didn't want to rewrite
11:46:30 From Kathryn Alexander, MA to Everyone:
Carol Sue, that is my experience of cancer. The min-body connection is powerful!
11:48:04 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
Carol Sue you are absolutely correct
11:48:54 From Dr. Carroy (Cuf) Ferguson to Everyone:
Comment: In my view, the flip side of forgiveness is playing the game of “blaming the victim” (focused on self or the “other”). The author of the book, “Blaming The Victim”, Bill Ryan, happen to be one of my teachers in graduate school.
11:49:08 From rene de haas to Everyone:
what about cooping mechanism?
11:49:25 From Carol Sue Engleman to Everyone:
That was Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum told me the above and the 1st part is asking them if there has been a study of those who can't forgive and cancer, a deep seeded resentment eating at one.
11:51:20 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Cuf, good one! Here’s “Blaming the Victim” by Bill Ryan: https://archive.org/details/blamingvictim00ryan
11:51:32 From Oceanna Talbot to Host and Panelists:
Eileen Barker… I appreciate that you are sharing, and it would be helpful for me as your listener, if you could speak in complete sentences, rather than in broken thought passages… I hope you listen back to the recording to see how pop corn your style is and how hard it is to follow
11:51:40 From Carol Sue Engleman to Everyone:
And question to Eileen. Did you do Landmark?
11:52:02 From Kim Kerrigan to Everyone:
11:52:43 From rene de haas to Everyone:
how does the work of Edith Eger fits in his?
11:52:45 From Lynn Brodlie to Everyone:
Yes, Carol Sue, ....... 'if you do not digest something it stays undigested......then becomes damaging to the physical self,
11:53:12 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
suffering does not have to be a part of life , bc it's something we do to ourselves
11:53:17 From Kim Kerrigan to Everyone:
Great and fascinating question Eileen! THANK YOU! 💚🙏😇
11:53:24 From Hyacinth Oesterlin to Everyone:
But surely trauma from childhood goes deep. I understand that very often the hurt is hidden deep and difficult to express. It is a blessing that this topic is being discussed so widely.
11:54:59 From elle stockton to Everyone:
how about the body keeps the score?
11:55:38 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
when you are offered something negative and you accept it like a present in a box then you are left with it, the key is to not accept the pain and mistreatment, then you can forgive them easier
11:56:10 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Host and Panelists:
How would it be if when in meeting and talking with someone, we started by asking for forgiveness?
11:56:45 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:

I am going to consider planning my death like I previously planned a wedding & pregnancy. I haven't thought about it that way before. Has seemed like the only choice I've had is to be a victim of death. That's worth creating.

The Healing Code by Dr Alex Loyd says unforgiveness is number one cause of disease. By doing the codes when you forgive you can the feel compassion. I highly recommend this as a great modality. Ask me if you want to more in the After Chat. He mentions Dr. Bruce Lipton in every chapter and Dr. Ben Johnson co-authorized the book cued ALS IN 3-4 Month.

If you're human, you have something happen & automatically make an interpretation of what happened. Mostly I can notice the story I made up & decide whether another story/ interpretation would benefit me more.
It's always my CHOICE.
12:02:33 From Kurt Krueger, PeaceMakers Circles/Network to Everyone:
BRING HARMONY TO LIFE, BE a PeaceMaker. It is an INSide job. It is a ProBiotic that anyone can take to cure humanity’s inhumanity to others. It also brings Super Concentration opening one to inspiration and enthusiasm. To be fully effective, we get to do it periodically through the day. It also leads to clearer thinking and stress reduction. Here’s a first step to get INside Peace.

12:04:11 From Mary Thorp_WV to Everyone:
@Shannon That's worth talking to others about, more valuable than talking about the weather.
Hmmm, what other interpretation could I choose?
12:04:35 From Nadalee Hill to Everyone:
omg exactly 💯 we have the choice to be hurt or have that chip on our shoulder but sometimes it's neurological wiring from an upbringing and it's hard to break out of that mind set

Part of the Why..we want an external savior and people have a livelihood supporting victimisation
12:11:22 From Lynn Brodlie to Everyone:
Generational Trauma is often passed down in inappropriate ways because it is unhealed, unforgiven

We were born into a world of RIGHT/WRONG, you OR ME, & are moving to a world that works for everyong, you AND me.
I first learned this from Bufky Fuller.

People do that at the last minute before they die rather than living like that NOW
12:13:40 From Hyacinth Oesterlin to Everyone:
Some years ago 3 friends from childhood met up, not having met for more than 50 years. We naturally reminisced and realised how happy our childhood had been. As we looked back, problems were sorted out in our families without any distress. And we all were conscious that although LOVE was never discussed, we were not hugged and told we were loved, there was no reason to question, it just never came up. We were left feeling very grateful, because we had heard so many stories of childhood misery.
12:14:00 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:

We also started the PeaceMakers Circles Network to bring Peace IN Everything, Everything WITH Peace. So here’s a way to bring our Vision/Mission/Mantra to life.
We are thrilled that after 50 years of working globally with success techniques and leadership skills to have an opportunity to build the PeaceMakers Circle/Network. We already have people in Africa, Asia, Europe, and N. America. We are, for the first time, bringing ancient wisdom together with the best leaders and the best tools of the 21st century.

Take 8 minutes of your life to experience a powerful expression on LOVE by a Prison inmate. http://www.filmsforaction.org/watch/human
One learned from a parent and the other from the most unexpected source you’d probably ever imagine could teach True Love. View the first 8 minutes and get back to me if the last statement is incorrect.
