   Adults are also despairing of life as it is now.  The young people need to know this and adults need to recognize it. There are causes… hidden causes. They need to be reveailed and healed. One cause is that there are some people who are taking more than their share of the world’s resources leaving the rest of us to struggle. We need to bring these people to the awareness of their own humanity. They need to share what they have and support the rest of humanity and all life.

   In terms of the comment about linking the needs of youth with pre and perinatal psychology, that is something I have been doing for decades. I have developed ways for youth to find the core causative level of their struggles, and for adults to support them in that. Pre and perinatal psychology simultaneously simplifies and illuminates the comprehensive nature of the struggles of youth and how this is a mirror for all of humanity at this time in particular, the Great Turning.

   I live on an organic farm in rural Oregon and our power went out last night in a horrific downpour that was very sudden. I raced out of our agricultural region this morning with the last charge on my electric car to get to a café so I could participate and see this film today. I would not have missed this for anything.    I lead from the young person within me; she who kept herself alive through her creativity and intelligence that she could not share with the adults around her who were small-minded and abusive. This film and this movement helps me celebrate the young person within me who survived and thrived despite the density of those around me who could not perceive who I was or what I had to offer. As adults, parents and grandparents, I think we can tap into that energy as a way to be present for youth.
