There have been many that call for peace negotiations now to stop the fighting in Ukraine. While nobody would argue the merits of ending a war through negotiations rather than continued fighting, the question here is if a lasting peace can be obtained without pushing Russia back to its borders. What are the consequences for rewarding Russia for its aggression towards Ukraine and what is the difference between peace obtained through submission to imperial power and peace obtained through victory? In this session we will discuss this with public intellectuals and peace activists from Netherlands, UK, Ukraine and Belarus.
