The origins of Russo-Ukrainian war date back to February 2014, to the outcomes of the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. But what actually happened back then at Maidan? All speakers that spoke at the Ubiquity Summit on Ukraine so far call it “a coup” instigated by the US, and it perfectly matches with the key narratives of the Russian propaganda justifying further annexation of Crimea and beginning of military intervention in Donbass. During the session on July 18th, moderated by Auke Van Nimwegen, you’ll have a chance to hear and address your questions to a Ukrainian, the true witness and researcher of Maidan events, whose book Ukraine’s Maidan, Russia’s War: A Chronicle and Analysis of the Revolution of Dignity was published by Ibidem Verlag in 2019, and is distributed by Columbia University Press.
