Just as we began the week with an overview of the challenges facing Democracy in the midterms and beyond, we will close out the week with additional insight on what is truly on the line in November.
And it is not the vast majority of sub issues current political polls are trying to measure. All of that suggests that what is going on is politics as usual. But that is simply not the case. What is going is a radical, comprehensive attempt by a minority to gain permanent control over the majority and to further eliminate more and more individual rights.
In this program Harvey Wasserman, one the countries most committed and informed activists will join George, John, Jim and some other surprise guests to invite and encourage We the People to do all that is within our power to turn back the efforts of those intent on eviscerating many of the core principles and rights on which this nation was founded and that have, over the decades since been expanded through hard-won dedication to include more and more of our diverse population.

- Harvey “Sluggo” Wasserman is a life-long activist whose has been on the front lines and in the middle of the conversation about Democracy for decades. He is also the author twenty-some books include THE PEOPLE’S SPIRAL OF US HISTORY. Most Mondays he co-convenes the Green Grassroots Emergency Election Protection zooms which you can join by writing him via [[1]]. He is strongly focused on shutting all nuke reactors with a conversion to a totally green-powered economy.
- Linda Seeley has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2008 and a member of the Mothers for Peace https://mothersforpeace.org/ since moving to San Luis Obispo in 1982. She currently serves as a spokesperson as well as Vice-President. Additionally, she serves on the Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel.
- Daniel P. Sheehan is a Harvard College, Harvard Law School and Harvard Divinity School–trained Constitutional Litigation and Appellate Attorney. Dan served as Legal Counsel to Dr. John Mack, the Chair of the Department of Clinical Psychology at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Mack was a Pulitzer-Prize winning biographer who, utilizing the scientific methods of medical psychology, conducted extensive research into the phenomenon of alien abduction. In 1994, the Dean of The Harvard Medical School called Dr. Mack before a special hand-picked Faculty Committee and ordered Dr. Mack to “defend” his publication of his book Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens. A clear violation of his free speech rights and his status as a long-tenured Professor at Harvard University—as well as a highly-respected clinician—Dan successfully represented Dr. Mack before this committee, and secured his right to academic freedom.
