HR!Day1060 - Mon 1/20/25 The Role of Nonviolence - Tom Eddington & Michael Nagler
- --- Humanity Rising Day 1060 - Monday January 20, 2025 (GoTo Bottom)

In this century, the world has witnessed the decline and loss of Democracy in 40 countries. In the U.S.A., as we approach the 250th anniversary of Democracy, we’ve seen a steady move away from the democratic principles upon which this country was founded. There is growing evidence that the path the country has been on over the past 40+ years is leading toward the U.S.A becoming an Oligarchy. The country faced a similar drive toward rule by the elite nearly a century ago. The incoming administration has indicated a commitment to adopting policies to ensure this outcome is achieved. The administration has identified targeted populations as scapegoats and distractions. This week we will explore Strategic Resistance and the role each of the targeted populations are playing to help preserve Democracy.
