The Heritage Foundation is a 501c3 and cannot be involved in politics (much less publish manifestos) - there is a way to submit a complaint so they lose their tax exempt status. I am trying to find out the details. Some of you may already know how this process works- if so please include here what we do to submit this - my understanding is to print the Project 2025 pdf from the website and attach to IRS form 13909 and challenge the tax exempt status. I am trying to determine if it is just a front page or the 900 page doc as we don’t want to kill trees to do this. Any information any of you have is helpful.

Grateful for the advice that Dr. Jim offered for a situation in Carbondale, Colorado. A citizen task force was trying to save 2 mature spruce trees that the USFS had tagged to be removed from their main street property to make way for the construction of a new visitor center. Dr, Jim was very supportive in the effort and checked in with the trees regarding their health and their desires - they were willing to be moved if a place could be found for them. Unfortunately the citizen group failed to persuade the USFS to change their plans so these 2 trees along with 9 others were cut down. Thank you Dr. Jim for your consultation.

Connie here: I put a young white pine on the podium to speak to a gathering of Native elders and others in Portland, Maine in 2000. It said to me “Gee, I’m really glad to be here!” in a sweet high voice. That tree is now a large healthy tree on Indian Island, Penobscot homeland.

Question: We are intense tree lovers, and have many baby evergreen trees sprouting up on our city property. I have protected and encouraged one small tree to grow between our sidewalk and the rockery, which my neighbors hate. It's now over 30 feet high, and I connect to this tree, and request that it grow without blocking the walk way, which the tree perfectly aligns with!!! Is this ethical of me?
