This is Paul: I met J. Allan Hynek back in 1968 when I was a member of S.A.U.C.E.R.S. He was under so much pressure to keep things hidden that thought our organization should back off for a while because the field was being flooded with so much nonsense by the government to confuse and amuse the public. 40 years later I met Jeff Kripal (who did a book with Whitley and introduced me to the Garrison gang of Citizen Diplomats, and psychic researchers like Ed Mitchell, Russel Targ, Nick Herbert , Dean Radin, (astronaut) Rusty Schwieckart and more. We all believed that consciousness was primary.

One question I have is do we really need academic science to tell us the nature of a kiss? Or the reality of a dream? Both are “real” and need no explanation to be experienced. Some people can’t experience light and we call them “blind.” Along the same lines, some people can’t experience the presence of a “ghost” but we don’t have a word for that, yet.
