UBUNTU: A beautiful expression of a culture in Africa:
This African tribe does this if someone does something unacceptable:
The tribe circles the one who erred who sits in the center. Each of the tribe then says what they feel is that persons attribute/s, until all around the circle has had their say. This reminds them of who they really are. And allows everyone to remember the goodness they have felt from that person.

My wife's Section at the university where she was Head for 20some years ended their wonderful group with a term of Forum, in which each professor and student (who wanted to) told THEIR STORY, where they came from, about their family, what they had learned and passed on. It was mind blowing.

My mother was a teacher, my father was a policeman. He taught me to be honest, to help others (like shovel the neighbor's snow - not just for the old ones but so that others won't slip and fall) and enjoy life (watch good movies, read food books, go swimming, do cooking). Love women! My mother wanted me to strive for achievement, advance in school, play the piano and cello, etc.) My father had a more lasting influence.

Seems like landscape of teaching will still be limited to those who have access to the tools of Fortune 500 support.
wellness, spirituality and education are the new Trillion dollar industry.

This is an organization i work with -50 years. we went from 2 Schools to 13 in the last 3 years when everything began to really break down in public view could no longer be ignored
All Volunteers- and 50 years of steadfast inclusion which has been anything but affordable 🙏🏼

My wife's brother sent his 4 kids to a Waldorf school. All are extremely hard working and honest, but only the older son got out in the world, studies Law, went to Trinity College in Dublin, lives in Berlin now. Endlessly considerate. Trying to learn, as a lawyer, how to misdirect and conceal.

I taught this way in disadvantaged adult Ed programs in the 80s and 90s - you could see the light bulbs going on, especially with the men, and they would wish the whole education system was built this way. It made the world of difference to their academic studies.

Our son was such a sweet innocent kid who loved play and did not learn ANYTHING at school except how to compete to please his teachers and of course his parents too. He was also taught non-violence from me and did not have any significant male influencers that we could trust to mold or mentor him. He is fine now, having chosen another path which we support from afar, because he has chosen to move out of our life entirely. We have learned much together, often separately, and without any rancor now. Our love is holding his absence.
