I think that the 12-step has its place and so many need it. However my thing is that people should know that there are options and 12-step doesn’t allow that thinking. Which creates another form of dependency on something outside of ourselves aka the system. For example brain scanning for brain disfunction, etc. But again, helpful for many in many ways.
