Mary, the atomic bomb is a primitive version to the bomb. the “H Bomb” or Hydrogen bomb uses the atomic bomb to ignight the Hydrogen and is 10 x or 100 times more powerful than the earlier “nuclear” atomic bomb. The atom bomb use nuclear fission while the hydrogen bomb uses “Fusion” or thermonuclear reaction. The H bomb is much more powerful than the atomic bomb.
