Colorado passed the reintroduction of wolves into Western Colorado last year. In testifying at the final hearing of the commission what I added was a meditation of placing decision makers into a mindset of r=moments of intention, what will you choose? They did decide to reintroduce them Counter to this were ranchers who will lose cattle and sheep. Land managers depend on the good will of ranchers to come on their land for managing lands.

Its such a blessing to have the deer (mule deer with white rear ends and giant ears) out our windows and elk just down the road, then there is also the wild turkeys, coyotes, squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and an amazing variety of birds. Sisters is so very alive.

"Some 30 years ago, Dave Brower was promoting Global CPR (Conserve – Protect – Restore) and ecological restoration was being widely promoted. Ecological restoration was about restoring the ecological process (such as making a wetland) but not so concerned with the native species that may have been lost. I meant rewilding to instead be about wilderness restoration – restoring wildness with native species and processes. So, let us all remember that rewilding comes from wilderness recovery (or restoration)."

Vegetarianism and veganism are part of the solution to humans taking care of Gaia! And living in harmony with all other creatures. These choices provide simple, superior nutrition, and are a large SOUL-u-tion, and central to RE-wilding. Let's ask and deeply ponder this question: Why do humans normalize our constant tendency to do harm? Harm to self, others, and the environment? Doing harm is arrogant, short sided, destructive, and 100% UNnecessary! We can and MUST respect ALL of Mother Nature! WE too are animals! Yes, Conserve - Respect - Restore!
