ALASKA, all three Federal legislators were Republican, largely funded by oil companies, hosted a state wide debate that revealed clearly where candidates were on the same page-2 were women- one a former Alaska Republican Governor pro life with the other a long time Democratic state legislator pro choice. They declared themselves respectful of each. Other and still holding different views about a woman’s right to control her own body. In the past personal attacks would have been the pathway. Each depended on the goodwill of voters that might not have chosen them in the first round.
