Indigenous elders this past weekend were gathered for an Earth Repair summit. These knowledge keepers helped us understand the urgency of this moment. They ensure cultural continuity. As living connections to the past, Elders are our teachers, healers, advisors and counsellors. Elder knowledge is culturally specific. Spiritual guidance is available when we ask. Yes, grief, and yes remembering. So appreciate this conversation! Humbling.

Having a hobby that men share with their mates helps, not watchings sports on TV more that using their hands , mate pottery or building something. In Australia they have sheds that house their projects and the like or a place to meet and chat. This is a way to connect for them. Not sure if there is an equivalent in the U.S.A. ( maybe the garage )
