Breathe in Love, Breathe out Peace
11:11:00 From Georg Boch to Everyone:

11:12:35 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
Maureen, I think you mean 5 minutes? rather than 5 breaths?
11:12:45 From maureenedwardson3@gmail.com to Everyone:
5 breaths
11:13:26 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
really? so little? Do you feel coherence can be reached within and with each other in 5 breaths?
11:15:15 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
and since gas prices are being manipulated by the fossil fuel industry anyway…
11:15:59 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
If anything must be executed, let it be sessions on democracy on Humanity Rising.
11:16:37 From mary to Everyone:
I heard that word, too, Shannon.
11:16:42 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:
Georg, can you upgrade me, Please.
11:16:46 From mary to Everyone:

11:18:57 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
11:19:33 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
This might be of interest this SUnday. ::https://www.priyaparker.com/the-persuaders::
11:25:21 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Wow appreciate that - great that you sued! I could not get a confirm that my absentee ballot was counted from the Electors in SC and now realizing I could have looked in deeper…
11:26:42 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We are fighting for legislation in New York to keep Hybrid voting machines out of the state of New York. Right now, New York votes on paper ballots. We are fighting the New York State NAACP even though many of the county NAACP side with us.
11:27:36 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:
Georg? Jim? Matt? Can you make me a panelist?
11:29:00 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Great answer, thank you for the info
11:29:33 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Georg Boch(Direct Message):
Thank you!
11:33:14 From Janice1 to Everyone:
RE: electronic voting - why can't we get receipts for our vote just like we get receipts for every other electronic/online transaction?
11:33:24 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:

11:35:25 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
wow that's awesome…
11:36:19 From Charry Stover to Everyone:
I'm so glad that someone is doing all of this, because it is not what I am wired for, and it needs to be done.
11:36:27 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
11:36:54 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
Next training for observing the vote count is this Sunday. Register at ::https://scrutineers.org/next-training::
11:36:54 From mary to Everyone:
Our counting is very public at the county courthouse- Upshur County, WV (Buckhannon)
11:41:19 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
Great, Mary. Counting should always be public!
11:42:56 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
::http://seesay2022.com:: is the election problem reporting system Andrea's talking about
11:43:11 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
voterprotect.live/seesay
11:43:34 From Leo Jacoby to Everyone:
Kat Haber has taken Relational Organizing training to help with Wisconsin campaigns from her home in Alaska. Thanks Kat, for your passionate investment in Wisconsin, your home state where we need the help.
11:44:19 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
You can read the book, The Georgia Way here: ::https://www.centerforcommonground.org/the-georgia-way::
11:45:45 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We send postcards, run phonebanks and textbanks. Our local folks canvass
11:47:09 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Did you know that Texas, Florida and Louisiana are already majority-minority states based on the numbers of registered voters.
11:48:50 From Janice1 to Everyone:
every sensitive transaction we do as humans can be done on line - why is voting any different
11:50:29 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Hacking normally impacts "individual" transactions while hacking voting systems could/would change the results of elections and threaten democracy itself.
11:50:44 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
We use hand-marked paper ballots as the source document that a computer reads - like old punch-cards, it works very well.
11:51:06 From Shannon McArthur to Everyone:
BC Canada, in our local election in Kamloops
11:51:10 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
Janice, how many times have you heard/read about corporate, government, credit agencies, etc having their online sites hacked & data stolen?
11:52:49 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Voting on machines is also difficult for many older voters who not only struggle with technology but also struggle with vision issues. How many older people do you know who struggle with a smart phone. They have that phone available to them every day. Voting happens twice a year every other year for most people.
11:53:47 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Thank you, Emily and Aileen for everything that you do.
11:53:59 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
Thank you, too!
11:58:22 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Geesh - I am from Ohio and voted in Ohio in 2004…
11:58:30 From Aileen Nakamura to Everyone:
Coalition for Good Governance:
::https://coalitionforgoodgovernance.org/::
12:03:40 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We need the landslide!
12:04:12 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
hasn't this been going on a looong time? 1960 - JFK v Nixon. presumably, it is well understood that votes were "stolen" in Chicago & Texas.
12:04:19 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
That's what happened in 2020 and especially the Georgia runoff
12:05:39 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Sidney Powell
12:06:23 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Why does the panel appear to be in agreement with the Trump people whie all reports that I've heard say that the 2020 election was the most acuurate ever?
12:06:56 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
I'd like an opportunity to answer Stan's question. No rush.
12:07:52 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
@Leo thanks for what you are doing to elect Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin to replace Ron Johnson in the Senate. ::https://mandelabarnes.com/meet-mandela-barnes/::. Also check out 538's interactive tool for how one single race can influence the outcome for the leadership of Congress. ::https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-election-forecast/senate/::
12:08:40 From mary to Everyone:
And what happens if states get all the responsibility of voting instead of having it managed by the federal level?
12:09:02 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
OMG!
12:11:20 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
States are responsible for everything that is NOT directly specified by Federal law. That is why there was the huge push for 2 pieces of Federal legislation: For the People Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
12:11:35 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
what has happened to WI, which used to be part of the rational, moderate Midwest? Johnson is "off-the-wall" & out of touch with most Americans' views. Can't understand why that race is close, other than that Mandela is black.
12:12:00 From mary to Everyone:
Thanks, Andrea.
12:12:11 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
The For the People Act sets minimal standards for elections; 10 days of no excuse early voting, no excuse vote by mail, paper ballots
12:12:37 From Janice1 to Everyone:
Interesting that the trumpsters are flipping this story on its end as though it is 'the other side' doing this
12:13:03 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Another question I’ve had for years now is “Why have states accepted election machine manufacurer’s insistance that their algeorthims are secure while also claiming that the algorithsm are propriitary informaiton that the States cannot have access to.?
12:13:07 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We need the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement act because that re-authorizes the Civil Rights Act of 1965 which would then re-establish the notion of pre-clearance so that states could NOT pass laws without preclearance by the DOJ
12:13:29 From mary to Everyone:
Yes!
12:14:07 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
There is a 3rd bill necessary and that is a Constitutional amendment making voting a Right. Rep. Mark Pocan (WI02) has sponsored HJ Res 98 which simply says, "Every citizen of the United States, of voting age, has the fundamental right to vote in any election held in the jurisdiction in which they reside."
12:14:07 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Can you include a statement that we can use to share if we want to go to the Sec of State in GA? A summary of how we know the system has been compromised - with the name of the lawsuit in reference. And who - Sec of State and State Election Board in GA - is there a Change.org or otherwise a petition to sign…
12:14:40 From Janice1 to Everyone:
Aileen and Emily need to be interviewed by maybe The Atlantic or New Yorker or Vanity Fair telling this story. Yes much of this story has been told … but in bits and pieces. They are giving context to the whole story
12:14:49 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
also point out, Andrea, John Lewis Act WAS PASSED by Dem House, but filibustered by Senate
12:14:51 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Yes would so appreciate that - thank you!
12:15:21 From Janice1 to Everyone:
in a way that I have not seen all in one place. This would be a pivotal time to get this article in print.
12:15:59 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Agree George - thank you for emphasizing that
12:16:44 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Can we ask Emily to answer my question.
12:16:50 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
Engagement of the independent voters is essential. Representation at the convention in Austin TX important....INC 2022
::https://www.inc22.us/event::
12:17:01 From Ina Albert to Host and Panelists:
Ina Albert: Can you compose a Letter to the Editor suggestions so we can send these to local papers as well?
12:17:41 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Yes thank you so much - sadly fascinating I would agree. In gratitude to each of you and the work you have been doing. Thank you!
12:18:37 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
The conservative political playbook is to accuse the opposing party of precisely the behavior they in fact are doing.
12:19:01 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
The number 1 goal in the 2021 Georgia legislature was to end No Excuse Vote by Mail; they introduced 21 pieces of legislation to accomplish this and they failed.
12:19:15 From Janice1 to Everyone:
exactly Jim - said more clearly and eloquently than I did up in this chat. This is trumps playbook..... accuse others of the very thing he himself is guilty of
12:21:27 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
Engagement of the One Nation Party?
::https://www.onenationamerica.org/about/::
E pluribus unum. Out of many, one. This was the Founders’ vision for America: a nation forged from different cultures, countries, creeds and classes – yet unified by a common commitment to freedom, democratic governance and guaranteed individual rights.
We’re dedicated to pursuing that vision: helping to solve America’s great problems and seize America’s greater opportunities through persuasion, research and advocacy.
Christopher Life - ::https://www.evolutionaryleaders.net/leaders/clife::
12:22:12 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Center for Common Ground is a c3 organization
12:22:29 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Yes agree Jim. I was saying that when I felt my vote wasn't counted in SC. There were lines around the building the week before voting and I stood in a line to drop off the absentee ballots. Since Lyndsey Graham frankly asked for others to cheat in GA, I believe he did not win by the landslide (if at all) in SC. And... at the time - when the President was creating false suits of the same vein, I assumed that's why Jamie Harrison just bailed and went to the DNC.
12:22:53 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
@Emily...thank you!
12:22:54 From Kurt Krueger to Everyone:

12:22:55 From Janice1 to Everyone:
Because they are non-partisan non-profits, I believe they can't address the trumpsters actions directly
12:23:41 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
You can become a poll worker at powerthepolls.org/cfcg
12:23:45 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
the One Nation Party founder used funds collected to buy property and then named himself the Party's Presidential candidate. lol BEWARE
12:24:19 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
@Marilyn - thanks you.
12:24:37 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Yes agree, appreciate it is non-partisan!
12:25:02 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
New York is looking at the same machines you have in Georgia
12:25:05 From Emily Levy to Host and Panelists:
I remember the final point I wanted to make
12:25:35 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
@Aileen... good points!
12:25:45 From Janice1 to Everyone:
I recommend Robert Roth's seminal work, "A Reason to Vote" where he gives the history of voting, the hoops a party must go through to be recognized (which shows why there are no successful 3rd parties) It documents the difficulty the Natural Law Party had -- even when they followed all the rules. I also documents the creeping decline of American democracy in the last half-century.
12:25:45 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Why is this panel supporting the Trump assertion that the election was stolen???
12:25:46 From mary to Everyone:
Does one write the Sec of State in GA about ballots?
12:26:43 From Carol Sue Engleman to Everyone:
@Stan, are you waiting until the very last minute for putting in the after chat?
12:26:49 From Aileen Nakamura to Everyone:
Writing the GA SOS , but also the GA State Election Board (SEB) is even more important, since there's a better chance they may listen.
12:27:05 From mary to Everyone:
Ok, thanks.
12:27:09 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
I am not hearing that, Stanley. Just that some particulars may have been compromised.
12:28:17 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We encourage everyone to early vote; if there is a problem, you will have time to fix it
12:28:21 From Janice1 to Everyone:
WELL SAID GEORGE!
12:28:24 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
Excellent sharing of information. Thank you, Andrea, Emily, Aileen.
Thank you John and George and Jim for organizing.
12:28:50 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Thank you for your opinion, George!
12:29:20 From mary to Everyone:
Thanks for that clarification, Andrea.
12:29:36 From mary to Everyone:
…Aileen
12:29:51 From Aileen Nakamura to Everyone:
Absolutely!
12:29:58 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
I do think that states and municipalities must have access to the algorythims used to cound electronic ballots.
12:30:16 From Emily Levy to Everyone:
I invite you all to become members of the Scrutineers Community at Scrutineers.org!
12:30:25 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
We're basically saying you need to wear seat belts in your car, not that cars are inherently evil:)
12:30:58 From Carol Sue Engleman to Everyone:
those machines were originally made to control the Venezuelan election
12:31:06 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!
12:31:15 From Marilyn Schramm to Everyone:
LANDSLIDE
12:31:24 From Katherine Augustine to Everyone:
Thank you Emily! Going there now…
12:31:25 From Kat Haber to Everyone:
tricky-if you win the argument that Georgia election is hacked, then will conservatives be validated. If nothing is said/done then do the conservatives prevail in their nefarious activities? Nuance is not readily understood by many Americans.
12:31:30 From Andrea Miller to Everyone:
Sedition v Democracy
12:31:34 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
The algorythims ought NOT be propriitary property of the manufacturers.
12:31:47 From Stan for the ChatPeople to Everyone:
Please pardon my typing.
