I do appreciate the racisst reality of this video, but would like to add that I have witnessed this type of decompensation, this fragmentation from reality from a patient screaming with fear and aggression towards another while both white, in wheelhairs in the dementia ward of a long-term facility. My heart goes to both this man and woman.

I grew up in the South and attended the only integrated school in Atlanta in the 1960’s and the KKK clan picketed my junior senior at the Heart of Atlanta hotel. I was always thankful that my father was in the military and made certain that as a white child our family attended a integrated school. The military was the first to integrate.

I grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood and attended an all white elementary school. it wasn’t till I ran a computer refurbishing program that served a mostly black clientele that I began to hear any of the stories of the black experience. Sadly all too many white people also have no exposure to how black people are treated and how they feel.

It is because the West has never paid the real price for our possessions (past slavery, modern slavery by terrible working conditions in the "third world", steeling natural resources by greedy corporations, abuse and destruction of the environment), and having the audacitiy to call this "superiority". That is part of our "original sin". Thank you for your thought-provoking and necessary presentations.
