Reminds me of first meeting with Arnie Mindel when I was requesting permission to record his session, one of forty sessions, and I had one hour to secure all permissions before the program start. Arnie wanted to run a very long process around his answer. Sheesh! But he did say love has no rules, which taught me a lot!

Unfortunately, Western business is not personal. Neither is medicine, finance…Those who tend to function in that mentality do not have space for anything outside that roll because that unknown, that outside of the boxnessnes, is where things happen in which there are not rules of engagement for wIithin the culture. Getting personal becomes uncomfortable and requires an energy, focus and commitment of “caring” about other, validating other. Sometimes it better to be all business. Over a period of time though, it is not sustainable because we are not machines, “The Machine” would rather have it that way… The movie “Brazil” is an elaborate characterization of phenomena and result.

I find conflict happening within me. I’m sorry that I am unable to engage in this exercise because too many things are uncomfortable - first, the translation - and I am unhappy to not understand his words nor his concepts. Next, I didn’t know I needed to have resources available to undertake this exercise. I didn’t understand the exercise right from the beginning. I’m so sorry I’m lost. And I’m trying to understand and it creates more conflict within me. I will breathe.
