Re-li-gion sure has twisted our hearts and minds!  Time to be more sacred, holy, spiritual and divine Human Beings!

SOMETIMES we are and SOMETIMES we’re not.  A paradox.

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:32 AM)

She's talking about the Powel memo... which ignites the most dramatic change in American economics.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:32 AM)

We surly love our lesser self!…

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

Time to love our greater Self, hey?

Pope Francis has been a consistent critic of neoliberalism

https://www.americamagazine.org/arts-culture/2021/03/18/economics-pope-francis-us-politics-240110::

Pope Francis and the dehumanizing nature of contemporary

Mar 18, 2021 — Some of the opposition to Pope Francis comes from his opposition to neoliberalism. In his encyclical "Fratelli Tutti," the pope says:

168. The marketplace, by itself, cannot resolve every problem, however much we are asked to believe this dogma of neoliberal faith. Whatever the challenge, this impoverished and repetitive school of thought always offers the same recipes. Neoliberalism simply reproduces itself by resorting to the magic theories of “spillover” or “trickle” – without using the name –as the only solution to societal problems. There is little appreciation of the fact that the alleged “spillover” does not resolve the inequality that gives rise to new forms of violence threatening the fabric of society.

Leo Jacoby to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

It is imperative to have a proactive economic policy directed at “promoting an economy that favours productive diversity and business creativity”[140] and makes it possible for jobs to be created and not cut. Financial speculation fundamentally aimed at quick profit continues to wreak havoc. Indeed, “without internal forms of solidarity and mutual trust, the market cannot completely fulfil its proper economic function. And today this trust has ceased to exist”.[141] The story did not end the way it was meant to, and the dogmatic formulae of prevailing economic theory proved not to

be infallible. The fragility of world systems in the face of the pandemic has demonstrated that not everything can be resolved by market freedom. It has also shown that, in addition to recovering a sound political life that is not subject to the dictates of finance, “we must put human dignity back at the centre and on that pillar build the alternative social structures we need”.[142

Liliane Mavridara to Panelists and Attendees (11:34 AM)

Thank you Leo!

Dear Hazel has been called the greatest

evolutionary conscious Futurist and Anti-Economist  who has the most comprehensive perspective of anyone on this issue. Plus she is brilliant and kind.

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:37 AM)

Leo, please simplify your message with ‘User Friendly’ 8th Grade words please. What do you really want us to tell the pope?  What’s your Stand?

Jane Norton to Panelists and Attendees (11:37 AM)

the problem with LED lighting is that all the fixtures are integrated now, - you cannot replace the bulb. When the bulb goes out you have to throw out the entire fixture!

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

Hazel froze!

Avon Mattison to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

hazel@hazelhenderson.com

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

She was lost.. and hopefully she’ll be found!  Shoot up a rayer

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

prayer.

Liliane Mavridara to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)

Yes!

Avon Mattison to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

http://hazelhenderson.com::

Excuse- I put her email in by error. Please ignore that one.

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

Jane, aren’t the LED lights suppose to last forever?  I have a kitchen fixture with LED bulbs and that’s what i was told.  Yes or yes?

Avon Mattison to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

http://ethicalmarketsqualityoflife.com/::

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)

interesting

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)

Banks used to be based on the amount of gold they had in the vaults. During the era of Reagan and Thatcher, they changed the way the banks are run and made them based on electronic money. So - now the banks are worth as much as they have loaned out in credit!!

Jane Norton to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

Nancy, not forever. LED fixtures generally claim to last 20-25 years, so we might not have to deal with it,  but it is passing the problem down to the next generation.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

Exactly what Hazel is saying - the bank have no assets!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

I just replaced just such fixture - the ‘light’ was a fixed part of the fixture, so Iihad to replace the whole thing to replace the light. Got rid of that one.

Liliane Mavridara to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

And you get "poor" countries to lose their freedom, and depend/controlled by power nations.

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:43 AM)

Ahhh, thanks, and I plan to live to be 111 so I MAY have to replace mine!  ha ha

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:43 AM)

Love to hear her thoughts on Bitcom

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:44 AM)

Put the Q&A Kathryn - I'd like to know too

(Because I don't understand and need a 'trusted' explanation!) (Hopefully in simple terms)

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:45 AM)

I think you mean BitCoin, and block chain technology, Kathryn.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)

Yes, Stan

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:46 AM)

Yup

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:46 AM)

Our friends at SEEDS use this technology so, the question remains to be seen if their theory will pan out.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

Yes - a string of figures so - how can mining it cost?

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

It costs to run the computers

Computers do the mining

Jane M to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)

So when you go to withdraw from a bitcoin machine what do you get?

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)

More numbers

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:49 AM)

Diane - it takes a lot of computers working to manage the logging of the exchanges. It doesn’t add value. SEEDs is trying to change that - I think

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:50 AM)

Does Hazel have an opinion on the block chain technology known as SEEDS as represented by Rieke Cordon in HR Day 67

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

Thanks Kathryn. Still not quite sure why Hazel said about mining costing a lot but - running the computers yes, I understand that much. Thanks

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

Has Hazel heard of SEEDS?

https://joinseeds.earth/::

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

Reminder: The Old Paradigm is ‘debt, scarcity, poverty and poorness’.  Delete those words from our memory and speech please!  The New Paradigm is ‘it’s an absence of prosperity, financial abundance and richness.  So, let’s FOCUS on becoming MORE rich, abundant, prosperous, etc, not MORE ‘debt., scarcity, poorness and poverty, etc.’  What we focus on is ‘blessed’ back by the Universe.  Again, words matter.  Are we worshiping the God of Poorness OR the God of Richness on our two shoulders?  Only, isn’t there only ONE Creator of the Universe?  I only want to focus on the God of my Heart, the God of Prosperity!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)

We had a bitcoin company try to move into a small city in Washington. They were denied because they would double the use of electricity for that city and force the city to expand its energy needs.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)

Badly explained (me) - how does mining for electricity cost a lot when electricity can come from different sources

Yes - got that last sentence Kathryn xx

Liliane Mavridara to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

I don't think she talked about mining, just electricity.

Michael Troutman to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Hazel you have provided the clearest debunking of crypto currencies that I have heard.  Thank you.  Mike Troutman

Gareth Manning to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Fascinating

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

They call the computer transactions - mining.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)

Ahaaaa!!

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:55 AM)

The value and trust in the bank create money comes from the fact that the borrowers vouch for the money by putting up 30 years of work and the value of the home or business.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)

Stan, how’s the Philly dollar doing?

Dinesh N to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)

are we addressing the pink elephant in the room: the tax codes?

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:56 AM)

Philly has no alternative currency despite being the home of Paul Glover.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)

That is where SEEDS works to involve all owners.

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)

Isn’t it time to show more ‘Generosity or somewhat’ rather than more ‘hoarding and being GREEDY for Money?  We can’t take our banks into The Life Beyond!

Jane M to Panelists and Attendees (11:57 AM)

Always a hidden agenda

Marilyn Hamilton to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

Hazel - you are such a brilliant realist - you support my radical optimism

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

Indeed Nancy. Lets expose hoarding as a crime against humanity!!

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:58 AM)

I'll state this more clearly: Our money is vouched for by borrowers promise to pay it back.

Barbro Esbjörnsdotter to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

This is so clear, Hazel, thankyou.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)

And focus on Love and the biggest sharing as the solution!! Save Our Planet!!

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)

Cooperate or die - oh, make that “AND die, no matter what” - what we choose matters but we all end up gone.

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (11:59 AM)

Isn’t bitcoin falsely trusting someone else who are ‘setting up their money FOR them’ and ‘setting it up’ to be NOT FOR us’?

Jane M to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

Thanks Jim.for bringing this discussion back to solutions for the current reality/crisis.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

And Stan - the borrowing game - pretty dreadful!!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

On the Business Cycle: The author, Jacques S. Jaikaran, M.D. offers a very good defense of Modern Monetary Theory in his book "Debt Virus." See page 168, where the author states plainly that "What we need to solve our cyclical problems such as inflation and recession is a metered amount of debt-free money injected into the economy. This money will compensate for the continuous withdrawal of money from the economy by the private sector debt service on its borrowings."

=======::

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

More quinoa, please!!!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

Perfect - quinoa and kelp!!

Jane Norton to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

And the social media platforms are censoring people who post anything negative about GMOs and conventional chemical agriculture. Just got an email from a guy who runs a site Grow Everywhere about organic home growing about his account being restricted.

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Is this the site Hazel is referring to ::https://hazelhenderson.com/::?

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Diane, I re-interpret ‘greedy people’ as ‘Extremely not Generous people’ AND they ‘have a right’ to spend it the way they want since THEY earned it.  We all must be self-sufficient and NOT ‘depend’ on Mommy and Daddy anymore.  Hence, the only ‘crime’ is that we each have not LEARNED to turn our ‘passions into profits’ ..AND … EARN IT OURSELVES!

Hence, Tony Robbins courses!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:04 PM)

Nancy - the system creates money without creating value - this vastly restricts anyone with out money from becoming rich 0 see the circle?

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (12:05 PM)

Nancy Chomicz to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)

Kathryn, WE ARE ‘the system’.  PEOPLE make up the SYSTEM ‘out of nothing.’  There is NO ‘system.’  People created the SYSTEM and NOW it’s time for new DEEPER thinking people to create a NEW MORE WORKABLE SYSTEM.

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:07 PM)

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (12:10 PM)
