Thank you so much for your analysis of the ways in which the establishment is responding to the events of Jan 6, both politically and through law enforcement agencies. What I sense is being overlooked is something this country reckons with—White Supremacy. This country has been erected on the principles of White Supremacy. When have white Americans ever been held accountable for the atrocities they have committed against various populations/democratically elected governments in history, domestically or internationally? Your question needs to be addressed from such a fundamental truth. The “Big Myth” is that we are in a post-racial political existence. Most white people are unconsciously or consciously invested in White Supremacy… how can that be faced and worked through?
